2014 Grand Banks 45 Eastbay SX Features and Benefits:
Speed + Range + Efficiency
Today’s Grand Banks are designed to provide higher speeds when needed, while also delivering fuel economy - and comfortable cruising over long distances - when moving at a slower pace. Our use of electronically controlled diesel engines gives you greater performance and flexibility than ever before, while dramatically reducing smoke, odor and engine idle noise.
Optional Galley Up
The optional galley-up layout maintains plenty of seating space in the salon, while providing for an extremely comfortable, open and easy-to-use cooking area with plenty of storage.
In the galley up layout, this space can be configured as a utility room with washer/dryer, a true wet hanging locker, utility sink, and lots of added storage.
Master Cabin With En-Suite Head
With generous storage and space for a 19" LCD TV, the master stateroom has as much room as our 47FB. Double-entry head (standard layout) with stall shower provides both privacy and access for guests.
With the standard galley-down layout, the salon can be configured with either a chart table and companion seat opposite the helm, or with a wet bar (optional) in the same location, with a U-dinette aft.
Optional Wet Head
In the galley-up layout, this space can instead be configured as a second head with shower, and the option of installing a washer and dryer unit as well.
The space of the guest stateroom is unequalled in a boat of this size and class. The room can also be configured with a generous double berth instead of two twins.
Retractable Salon Window
Let the sea breeze in: press a switch and the main aft salon window disappears into the bulkhead, activated by a hydraulic lift system. It’s a wonderful way to create a wide-open feeling on the helm deck, and allows easy passing of meals out to the cockpit aboard the galley-up model.
Safety Comes Standard
Wide side decks, smartly-placed grab rails, standard Fireboy® fire systems, strong hand and safety rails - plus dozens of other specialized design features and equipment inside and out - make each Grand Banks a superior choice for safety.
The optional sunroof of the 45SX opens at the touch of a button, bringing even more light and air into the salon and creating a wonderful open environment. Top-quality equipment custom fitted for the 45SX deckhouse ensures a watertight fit when running with the sunroof closed. A large, easily-opened sunshade is included to protect the teak interiors and keep out the sun when necessary.
In the optional forward layout, double-sliding doors give a clear opening to an office/lounge area with a large, fixed desk and settee that converts easily to an extra double berth.
