2014 Grand Banks 72 Aleutian RP Features and Benefits:
Expansive Aft Deck
The standard version of this model features a main deck that extends aft from the salon to the transom on one level creating a wonderfully large outdoor living area covered by the flybridge deck above. Custom teak chairs around a beautiful teak inlay table make this a perfect area for entertaining.
Lowered Aft Cockpit
In the alternate version of this model, a still-spacious aft deck leads down to a lower cockpit and the swim platform beyond. This configuration is great for easy access to tenders and watersports equipment, as well as for fishing and diving. Up on the aft deck, built-in seating at a beautiful teak inlay table provides plenty of room for outdoor enjoyment.
Indoor Stairwell To Flybridge
Ascend to the flybridge directly from the raised pilothouse, by an interior stairwell that provides a safer, sure-footed option to the exterior staircase when conditions are rough or wet.
One of the layout options aboard the 72RP is a third stateroom that can be configured in a number of ways, including as an on-board office with a settee that easily converts to a berth for sleeping. In lieu of a standard cabin door, pocket doors can be installed to open this space up to the forward landing.
Retractable Galley Cabinet
As an option, the large galley cabinet can be made to retract, at the push of the button, into the housetop. This ingenious design opens up views from the galley Ð as well as aft from the helm station.
The 72RP comes standard with a Twin Disc® remote engine control that lets you operate the boat from side, aft and fore decks for easier docking and close-quarter maneuvering. As an option, owners can augment standard hydraulic bow thruster with a stern thruster as well.
Nearly as generous as the master, the guest stateroom is large enough to accommodate a queen-sized bed, and is surrounded by storage and hanging cedar-lined lockers. The en-suite head has a separate shower and fine granite countertops.
Expansive Engine Room
Whether you plan to travel with crew or manage operations on your own, all will enjoy and appreciate the large, meticulously designed engine room. All systems are clearly marked, smartly arranged, and accessible for service. Dual access is provided, either through the cockpit and crew quarters or directly from the master stateroom.
The helm station of the 72RP offers commanding views in all directions, including all the way aft to the transom. The classic handmade teak helm wheel is flanked by loads of room for electronics, including storage for PCs. Stidd® helm seat is standard.
The 72RP comes standard with a powerful 1,300-lb remotely-controlled hydraulic davit that makes launching your tender a quick and easy operation.
Safety At Sea
Wide side decks, smartly-placed grab rails, standard Fireboy® fire systems, strong hand and safety rails - plus dozens of other specialized design features and equipment inside and out - make each Grand Banks a superior choice for safety.
Entertain guests or simply ensconce yourself in luxury: the grand salon sets an ideal stage for whatever kind of enjoyment you wish. Large entertainment center features custom cabinetry that can lower the large flat-panel TV out of sight.
Most owners choose the option of the beautiful factory-installed fiberglass hardtop, which is expertly made using the same construction techniques as the boat itself. Comes equipped with lighting and access to wiring runs.
Cedar-lined, walk-in closet in the master stateroom. Reverse-cycle air conditioning. Optional electric-opening Freeman® doors in the salon. The list of standard and optional amenities is too long to list here, but will surely impress and delight for all your days at sea.
