I bought a new RXP-X and an 07’(new) RXP(215HP Supercharged) from Foothills Motorsports In SC. I put both machines in Lake Jocassee, and within 2 hours, my almighty RXP-X was BROKEN. Not sure what the problem is, but I stopped getting more than 5600 RPM, and no mre than about 52 MPH. My 07’ RXP however was and still is running like champ. The RXP-X is currently sitting in the service dept at Foothills, where I’m sure I’ll be told that the SeaDoo/BRP warranty does not cover whatever is broken, and that it’s going to cost me a few grand to get it fixed.... Great. If you’re looking to purchase one of these, you may want to wait a year or so until all the bumps are ironed out of the new 255HP engine. Aside from the engine problems, when I first put the RXP-X in the water, the digital display was not working either, it would flicker on and of occasionally. Additionally, I have heard from some other sources that people have indeed been having problems with the superchargers on this model.. So, as I said you may want to wait on this purchase. Especially seeing as how for 12,999 (MSRP-Not exactly what I paid), you’re getting a machine with questionable durability, and that really didn’t seem hardly at all faster than the 07’ RXP (215HP Supercharged)..
