2017 Swan 65
This new design was created practically simultaneously with the Swan 78 as a complement to the larger sister of the new bluewater line of yachts. The size seems to be a very popular one. It allows space for a permanent crew with minimum length. The design philosophy and parameters follow the same concepts of the larger version. This smaller yacht has one less cabin in the Owner’s party than the larger 78 but shares the same saloon in the OF and OA versions developed. In order to give the saloon a feeling of space, the galley is located forward behind an open partition with a direct view to the deckhouse front window.
Her medium light displacement hull is powerful and beamy giving very good form stability and a nice motion at sea. The hull shape and parameters, especially the prismatic coefficient has been optimized for fast all around performance in light to medium wind ranges within a modern wide stern envelope. The steering system includes twin rudders for a positive easy control in all circumstances, and there are a number of draft options for fixed and lifting keels offered. She will be a fun boat to own and sail the waters of the world, and because of her advanced design, she is expected to have a long successful life.
She is modern but at the same time, Swan has strived to conserve her softness and harmony of the earlier relatives avoiding hard unruly behavior. The same can be said of the aesthetics, she is new, clean and modern, without being tied up in any short lived fashion. The same could be said of the deck with its modern design, uncluttered surfaces, and straightforward, simple solutions to sail handling and life at sea.
2017 ClubSwan 50
Nautor’s Swan has always offered high performance racing yachts to complement its classic range of cruising Swans, yachts such as the 39 and the 441 in Racing version. Today the yard uses its new ClubSwan models to test the most modern trends in design, materials and solutions, refining technologies that will then be used to the benefit of the cruising models. Like the Swan 45 and ClubSwan 42, successful one designs still winning in top level races. But with the ClubSwan 50 Nautor has pushed the limits, proposing a yacht that is a small revolution in performance and pure sailing pleasure.
2017 Swan 54
The mid-size Swan in the key size range between 48 and 55 feet has played an important part in the history of Nautor’s Swan. Some of the most successful and beautiful yachts ever built found their place in this category.
From the innovative Swan 48 designed by Sparkman & Stephens - the first Swan featuring the famous “wedge” shape coachroof - for sure the most reproduced design by other yacht producers.
In this size range Swan also finds the iconic Swan 51 from 1981 - the first Swan designed by Frers and inspired by the Admiral’s Cupper Blizzard. Her racing pedigree was in no doubt but the Swan 51 also proved perfect for long distance cruising and paved the way for many other designs from the great Argentinian’s pencil.
From 1986 to 1994 Frers created the Swan 53, the renowned cruiser of which 50 units were produced, along with other Swans which still attract huge interest in the market.
After all this is the size range which combines sufficient space onboard for extended cruising with ease of handling, without the necessity of a professional crew.
It is in this scenario that the new Swan 54 enters, the latest version of the bluewater cruiser according to the experience of Nautor’s Swan, fast, comfortable and above all, very beautiful.
2017 Swan 95 S
The new Swan 95 S is a versatile, high performance yacht that combines superior cruising capabilities with the inimitable style and quality Nautor’s Swan is renowned for.
The Swan 95 S features the semi raised saloon allowing panoramic views outside that has been a distinctive trait of the latest fast cruisers from Nautor.
2017 Swan 95 FD
The Swan 95 FD features the distinctive Swan Flush Deck with an uncluttered deck space and ultra sleek lines. She is a versatile, high performance yacht that combines superior cruising capabilities with Nautor’s Swan’s unique style and quality. With a more sporty oriented racing. The lines of the new Swan 95 are distinctive with a plumb bow and wide stern. Like the S version, the Swan 95 FD also has a lifting keel option for limitless cruising and twin rudders as standard to ensure the best control even when sailing at high heeling angles. The light full carbon sandwich construction is realized for maximum fitness and reduced weight, ensuring top performance in every condition.
The Swan 95 is setting the new standard for performance yachts. Nautor’s hallmark refined lines make this new Swan suited to competitive racing. While the voluminous interior is perfect for extended cruising. The Swan 95 FD is offered in the Owner Forward typical Swan layout. In this version, the owner’s stateroom is positioned forward, in the quietest area of the boat and there are three double/twin guest cabins, as well as two separate crew cabins. Each guest cabin is ensuite.
2017 Swan 78
All of Nautor´s know-how and experience in racing and cruising yachts have been incorporated in this new blue-water Swan 78, a direct descendant of the original Swan 80 and 82 models of the past. She is slightly shorter overall - in order to meet the EC 24.00 metre length overall limitation - beamier and more powerful. The modern hull lines, including a wide stern above the waterline, twin rudders and racing oriented keel design, are a reflection of the rapid evolution of yacht design during the past years, propelled by the experiences made on round-the-world races and other offshore events. The new boat will be faster, safer, easier to control and, as a result, more comfortable at sea. The keel options include deep telescopic lifting, fixed deep and fixed shallow possibilities yet maintaining stability, the same rudder configuration and standard sail plan.
The same could be said of the deck with its modern design, uncluttered surfaces and straightforward, simple solutions to sail handling and life at sea. The appearance is that of neatness and efficiency. Two options are offered for the interior, Owner Forward and Owner Aft. Centered around the main saloon and engine room, which maintain the same position facilitating weight distribution, planning of installations and flotation trim, both layouts share the same number of cabins: one double berth VIP and two twin berth layouts. These are slightly favoured in the Owner Forward version which allows for side by side bunks on the second and third guest rooms. Crew accommodations for two are ample and functional in both cases. I can say without reservations that this new Swan is, and will be, the best of her kind for the years to come.
