1.8 Liter Naturally Aspirated HO Engine
The four-cylinder, 1812cc High Output Yamaha engine and 155mm high-pressure jet pump, deliver the largest water displacement of any craft in its class. This naturally aspirated engine delivers race performance acceleration, high-end speeds, outstanding fuel economy, low noise, and reduced emissions.
CUSTOM INTEGRATED GP AUDIO SYSTEM
Optional factory-installed audio system that sounds as good as it looks. Package includes twin, 4½ inch waterproof marine speakers, integrated 2 channel (50 watts per channel) amplifier, easy access control pad, and an integrated low-voltage regulator to protect the battery.
NEW INDUSTRY-FIRST AUTO TRIM
Auto Trim works independently from the electric trim control on the handlebars. When engaged, Cornering Control automatically shifts the trim into the bow down position when decelerating for tighter cornering and a racy feel. Launch Control automatically shifts the trim down to prevent bow rise when accelerating quickly.
Competition Steering and Handlebars
The newly designed exposed race-style handlebars not only look fantastic but offer four tilt-adjustable positions to suit every racing, stand-up, and sit-down riding style.
All New Hull and Deck
The new deck design delivers improved ergonomics with deeper, wider, self-draining footwells and a new seat design that improves knee grip and overall comfort. The hull features Yamaha’s cutting-edge deeper V-shape Keel, modified hull strakes, and softer bow chines, delivering excellent stability, nimble handling, and precise responsiveness.
Ultra-Lightweight NanoXcel2
Yamaha’s cutting-edge NanoXcel2 ultra-lightweight hulls and decks are 18% lighter than the original NanoXcel but just as strong. This advanced material compound delivers exceptional performance properties resulting in significant improvements in acceleration, top-end speed, fuel economy, and handling.
Connext® LCD Display
All-new on the GP Series, the Connext LCD display screen features many new features, including Drive Control, allowing you to customize top speed increments and acceleration curve settings. The new built-in PIN security system eliminates the need for an external remote fob. All functions are controlled by a touchpad conveniently located next to the steering column.
Multi Mount System
Built for the most tech-savvy of riders, the new multi-mount system allows for the easy attachment of third-party action cameras, speakers, GPS, fish-finder, and phone devices.
Narrow and Deeper Ergonomics
The deck design delivers ergonomics with deeper, wider footwells, and the seat design provides knee grip and overall comfort, especially when charging into tight corners. The new GP1800Rs’ feature self-draining footwells to prevent water pooling, including while in storage.
RiDE Dual Throttle Control System
Yamaha’s patented RiDE is the world’s first dual throttle handlebar control system, that makes handling easy, fun, and intuitive. Pull the right lever to accelerate and the left lever to decelerate and for reverse. Pull both levers in any combination for enhanced handling, smooth deceleration, and excellent control.
Three Person Sport Seat
The new narrower race-inspired two-piece, two-tone seat is ergonomically designed, textured, and bolstered for grip, speed, and comfort, suitable for recreational riding and racing. The seat comfortably seats three people. Separation of the front and rear sections makes maintenance and access to under-seat storage easy.
Large Rear Platform
Roomy and comfortable, the large rear platform is the ideal place for soaking up the surroundings, getting in and out of the water, or simply doing nothing at all. The decking platform is fitted with custom-cut Hydro-Turf mats for optimum looks, grip, and comfort.
Reboarding Step
The GP1800R includes twin reboarding handles and an extra-deep ergonomically designed soft-touch reboarding step, making climbing back on board extra easy and safe.
Large Storage Capacity
The new bow, glovebox, and under-seat storage capacity has increased by 15%, providing 107 liters of useable space. The bow compartment is now easier to access and has a dedicated area for Yamaha’s cooler bag. The plastic hinge and damper has also been strengthened for improved long-term durability. The new water-resistant glove box and under-seat storage compartments include larger openings for easier access and improved usability.
Tow Hook
For additional on-water thrills and spills, the GP1800R HO comes with a strong tow hook which allows the secure towing of inflatable tubes, wakeboarders, or skiers.
What they say
“The new GP features an all new top deck design with deeper, wider, self-draining footwells. This new top deck gives us much better rider ergonomics and a muscular looking performance inspired look. If you look at the side profile, it has styling cues that look to be a mix of the old GP1300R and the FZ, I absolutely love the look!
