Dune Buggy is everything you want in a classic side-scrolling driving game. The throwback game is simple to learn, play, and understand. All you have to do is drive your buggy in wild off-road courses without crashing.

This arcade-style games comes with high-speed ramps and loops so make sure you have fun with those. But do not crash! Cross the finish line and you move on to the next level.

You’ll need to collect stars, too, so collect as many of them as you want. They add to your total score.

On the other hand, try to avoid the skulls that are also scattered in the ground. Hit one of these skulls and your truck’s health will decrease, increasing the chances of your buggy bursting into flames. Avoid falling through the ice, too.

The game comes with so many challenges and booby traps that you have to focus completely on keeping your dune buggy upright.

How to Play

  • Press “Play” on the main menu screen
  • Press the Up arrow to move your buggy. Make sure to hit the space bar before you exit a ramp to get higher air before you go down. The higher the buggy goes, the higher bonus you receive when you cross the finish line.
  • Collect as many stars as you can collect. They add up to your score, too. There are also power-ups on some levels, including bonus like slow time, giant truck, tiny truck, and others.
  • Stay away from the crossbones skulls. Collect one and it saps the health of your truck, rendering it more vulnerable to catching fire and exploding.
  • Levels become more difficult as you go along. New challenges and traps will be introduced so be careful in hitting those.

Controls

  • Up arrow to accelerate
  • Down arrow to reverse
  • Left arrow to push track backward
  • Right arrow to push truck forward
