When the MC20 arrived in 2020, many declared it to be one of the best and sportiest Maserati models in a very long time. Considered by many to be the spiritual successor of the MC12, the MC20 features the perfect recipe for being a successful sports car: it has both the looks and the power, and it is also quite fast. But, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t upgrades that can be made. And, that’s exactly what the guys over at 7 Design House did with the MC20 Aria – a carbon fiber kit limited to only 25 units that will improve both performance and aesthetic while keeping the car’s original DNA. The package was named after the founder’s love for his dog that passed away during the project's conception.

The MC20 has one of the sportiest exterior looks seen of any recent Maserati, and one might argue that there is nothing to improve. Still, lots of tuners lately have looked for ways to make the MC20 a lot more aggressive and sportier. For example, Mansory who just recently launched a full carbon-fiber body kit for the MC20. Joining the list of tuners that want to make the MC20 a lot sportier, 7 Design House is adding a transformative body kit made from the highest quality prepreg carbon fiber. Changes include a front splitter, canards, vent inserts, side skirts, an aero functional roof scoop, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser. These changes not only shave 12.5 pounds from the car's total weight but also achieves a 123-percent increase in aero efficiency.

Each unit will be finished depending on the customer’s wishes, but the one seen in the press pictures belongs to Peter Eskander - CEO of 7 Design House – and is finished in a combination of blue-tinted carbon and gray.

An Extra 20 Horsepower And Lots Of Extra Downforce

The new Maserati MC20 is powered by a twin-turbocharged, 3.0-liter V-6 engine that is loaded with Formula 1-derived technology and delivers a total of 621 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque. So, it should come as a bit of a surprise when we tell you that the guys over at 7 Design House made no changes. However, as an option, they do offer a Stage 2 exhaust system that will shave 15 pounds from the car's overall weight and will add an extra 20 horsepower.

There is no word if any updates were done in terms of real-world performance figures, but the MC20 is close to perfection in that regard too. It sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and can hit a top speed of up to 202 mph. However, the MC20 Aria adds 199 pounds of downforce at 100 mph, 509 pounds of downforce at 160 mph, and 795 pounds of downforce at 200 mph.
