Forza Horizon 4 is rich in automotive options. From penny-pinching rides to exorbitant exotics, the expansive car simulator has all of them in spades. The game is also rich in classic cars, and while some of these cars sometimes don’t get the shine as modern performance cars get in the game, there’s a case to be made that owning these classics will elevate the status of your virtual car garage.
The list of classic cars in Forza Horizon 4 runs long, and identifying the 10 best classic cars to own in the game proved to a far more challenging ordeal than we thought it would be. But we managed to trim down the choices and all have one thing in common: they’re as desirable in the video game world of Forza Horizon 4 as they are in the real world.
Forza Horizon 40}
Like most performance cars that arrived in the 60s, the Shelby Daytona was developed for racing purposes, specifically to compete against the mighty Ferrari 250 GTO. The Shelby Daytona eventually won its share of races, helping Shelby become the first American constructor to win a championship in the international racing scene when the automaker won the FIA International Championship for GT manufacturers in 1965. On top of its impressive racing record that included wins at the 1965 24 Hours of Daytona and the 1965 12 Hours of Sebring, the Shelby Daytona also set 25 land speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1965. Not bad for a car that was powered by a 4.7-liter naturally aspirated V-8 engine that produced 390 horsepower and 341 pound-feet of torque.

Alfa Romeo made some of the most beautiful cars back in the day. That’s a fact. Without question, the Italian automaker was at the top of its game in the ’60s when models like the 33 Stradale and the Giulia TZ arrived.
The 33 Stradale holds a special place in the hearts of car fans. It was one of the world’s first supercars, and, at the time of its release, it was the fastest commercially available car in the world with a top speed of 160 mph. The 33 Stradale was fast and pretty. It’s arguably the most beautiful car Alfa Romeo has ever created. From the curvaceous body to the huge round headlamps that sat as far back as the front arches, the 33 Stradale was sexy in all the right ways.
Combine that with a 2.0-liter engine that produced 227 horsepower and 152 pound-feet of torque and the 33 Stradale’s stature as a dream car for a lot of people was justified. 1969 Ferrari Dino 246 GT
You can’t have a list of the best classic cars in Forza Horizon 4 without mentioning one of the most iconic Ferraris of all time: the 1969 Ferrari Dino 246 GT.
From its groundbreaking design to its incredible driving qualities, the Dino 246 GT represented everything that Ferrari stood for. It was fast, powerful, gorgeous, and super desirable. It helped that the Dino 246 GT was powered by a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated V-6 unit that produced 192 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque, enough to help the supercar hit a top speed of 148 mph. 1977 Lotus Esprit S1 James Bond Edition
Don’t get bogged down by its Hollywood roots, the Esprit S1 JB has the power and performance chops to beat a lot of other performance cars in the game. It’s powered by 2.0-liter naturally aspirated inline-four cylinder engine that produces a stout 160 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque.
Throw away all the gadgets and gizmos and the sports coupe can hit a top speed of 133 mph and cover 60 mph from a standstill position in eight seconds. But let’s face it. This car is on this list for one reason: its Hollywood pedigree.
And you can even get it on the fun in the game if you decide to convert it into a submarine. The conversion is available in the Upgrades Shop as a wide body kit.

This is one of the most iconic sports cars in history and its place in the Mt. Olympus of sports cars is secure. Enzo Ferrari, the founding father of the Italian supercar brand, even called the E-Type “the most beautiful car ever made.”
That the race-prepped version of the Series 1 E-Type was featured in Forza Horizon 4 is nothing short of incredible. It’s hard enough to find a well-maintained Lightweight E-Type these days, but to have access to one — even if it’s in the virtual world — shouldn’t be lost in the sensibilities of everyone who has drooled over the classic Jag at one point in their lives. It helps, too, that the Lightweight E-Type can spring on you like its namesake. It was powered by a 3.8-liter naturally aspirated inline-six-cylinder engine that produced 340 horsepower and 314 pound-feet of torque.
It goes without saying that If there’s a classic car to be played in Forza Horizon 4 it’s the 1964 Jaguar Lightweight E-Type.

The Nissan Fairlady Z, otherwise known as the Datsun 240Z, was a common sports car in the ‘60s and early ’70s. It had its share of fans, a lot of whom appreciated the sports cars aesthetics, as well as its ability to surprise on the road. But we’re not here to talk about the Fairlady Z. We’re here to talk about its more potent alter ego, the Fairlady Z 432.
Carrying Nissan’s potent 2.0-liter naturally aspirated inline-six-cylinder (S20) engine, the Z 432 was a powerhouse on four wheels.
For all of its appeal, the Fairlady Z 432’s biggest calling card is its rarity. Nissan only built 420 units of the Z 432, and all 420 units were sold exclusively in the Japanese market. Good luck trying to find out. Fortunately, you won’t need any luck getting to drive it in the video game world. 1964 Ford GT40 Mk I
The Ford GT40 Mk I needs no introduction.
It’s fitting that such an important race car can be driven in Forza Horizon 4. Of course, the GT40 Mk I isn’t just remembered as the precursor to the famous GT40 Mk II. This model also won Le Mans in back-to-back years, cementing Ford’s unprecedented four-year run of dominance at the world’s most famous endurance race. A car as important as the Ford GT40 Mk I is a no-brainer inclusion to the world of Forza Horizon 4, and as it is, Forza Horizon 4}.

Only 33 GTO units were built, and all were created for the specific purpose of racing. Today, the 250 GTO holds a lot of sales records, including the highest auction price ever paid for a car at $52 million back in 2013. Yes, the Ferrari 250 GTO is the most expensive car to date, and as its status continues to rise, the cost of buying one is going to climb with it.
Buying a Ferrari 250 GTO is going to cost a lot of money, and that extends to the world of Forza where the 250 GTO has the highest price tags across the game’s numerous titles, including Forza Horizon 4. There have been other ways for you to acquire the 250 GTO, though none of them are easy. Players in Forza Horizon 4, for example, are required to complete a lap on the Sebring Full Circuit while driving a 250 GTO. Accomplishing the task unlocks the Spring Break achievement.

To say that it’s “difficult” to acquire in the game is a massive understatement, but that’s also why it’s a must-own car in Forza Horizon 4. The driving experience you get with this classic race car is unparalleled in the game. Remember, this was built in 1939 with a massive 3.0-liter twin-screw supercharged V-12 engine that produced a whopping 485 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque.

Forza Horizon 4 lineup of Chevrolet Corvette models runs deep. From old-school classics like the 1967 Chevrolet Cheville Super Sport 396 to modern monsters like the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, there’s no shortage of Corvette models in the world of Forza.
It’s been lauded for its handling, power, and all-around drivability. It was identified as one of the Top Sports Cars of the 1960s by Sports Car International. It even fetches a hefty price tag these days. All these things have made the Corvette Stingray 427 the classic that it is today.
It commands a hefty price tag in the real world, but acquiring it in Forza Horizon 4 won’t be as difficult. If you want your video game garage to be taken seriously, having a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427 in it will go a long way in accomplishing that.

Forza Horizon 4 has a staggering number of cars available in the game. Most of the featured cars were already available in the game at the time of its launch, but a handful of models arrived much later, either as rewards for successful missions and achievements in the game or as part of downloadable content that can be bought for around $10. In total, there are more than 450 cars in Forza Horizon 4, including some vehicles that were never before available in any of the past Forza titles.

In order to sell cars in Forza Horizon 4, you must first open up the main menu, then tab your way over to the “Cars” section. Provided that you have progressed far enough into the game, you can go to the Festival menu where you’ll find the option to sell cars in the game.

The LEGO cars that are available in Forza Horizon 4 are part of the LEGO Speed Champions DLC that became available last June 2019. The DLC is still available on Microsoft’s website for a price of $19.99, or $17.99 if you have the X-Box Game Pass Ultimate.

Just like the LEGO cars that are available in Forza Horizon 4 via the LEGO Speed Champions DLC, Hot Wheels cars are also available through a DLC. Several of the most popular Hot Wheels models in history are included in the Hot Wheels Pack, including the 2011 Bone Shaker, 2017 Rip Rod, 2007 Ford Mustang, and 1969 Twin Mill.
