2021 Nissan Ariya
In the wake of the success it had with the LEAF EV, Nissan is extending its ambitions in the crossover segment with the futuristic-looking Ariya, an all-electric crossover based on the Ariya prototype shown in 2019 in Tokyo.
As you’d expect, the styling cues flaunted by that Ariya - inside and outside - have a clear correspondent in Japanese tradition. The Ariya is available in 2WD and 4WD guise. Customers can also pick from one of the two available battery packs. We’ll get into more detail below.

When Acura revealed the2021 TLX luxury sports sedan, we came right out and said that BMW and Mercedes should worry about it. In fact, you could even argue that Cadillac and Audi should worry too, despite the fact that the former is abandoning fuel-driven performance for a new naming structure and all-electric future. Well, Acura has added even more evidence that certain brands should worry with news that the 2021 Acura TLX Type-S will feature a pure-driven V-6 heart that’s good for 355 horsepower. Even better yet, we’ll see a near-production prototype in special livery serve as a pace car at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on August 30, 2020!
Prediction: Aston Martin Cars Will Get More Expensive Post Pandemic
At this point, even those living under the most obscure rock know that almost every automotive company – aside from Tesla it seems – took a major hit during the COVID-19 pandemic. Aston Martin was on the bad side of that too, with sales down some 64-percent in the first half of 2020 and a total revenue of just £146 million. The company’s plan to bounce back includes “rebalancing supply to demand” and reducing production of key sports car lines to focus more on the DBX SUV. Part of this profitability increase means cutting 500 jobs, but I also see a hidden message that says “give us more money.” Let me explain.
2021 Ford Bronco Sport
The Bronco’s revival has made enthusiasts and purists more than happy. But, given how tough the market has become, Ford knew that it would also need a practical vehicle. In comes the Bronco Sport. The Bronco Sport is not as rugged as the standard Bronco and can be very much used as a daily driver as well. If I had to describe it in a sentence, I’d say it’s not an off-roader like the Bronco, but a crossover with a very heavy off-road bias. It has a lot of Bronco shades and vibe all around, but will people accept it as an urban crossover and as their daily driver?

Gordon Murray is an automotive legend. He designed many successful Formula One cars for Brabham and McLaren, as well as the iconic McLaren F1. So it’s natural to be excited about his upcoming supercar, the T.50. A spiritual successor to the F1, the T.50 is described bu Murray as "the gratest road-car V-12 ever made." It’s not yet ready to go into production, but Murray unleashed a video of the V-12 engine on the dyno and it sounds incredible.
Cadillac Needs to Nail the LYRIQ If It’s Going to be Even Remotely Successful
Outside of the Chevy Bolt, GM doesn’t really have any electric vehicles. The Bolt was a huge step forward with its 259 miles of range on a good day, but GM is definitely falling behind, and that’s why Cadillac is set to “spearhead GM’s shift to an all-electric future.” The LYRIQ that has been teased here is the first of many to come and will be powered by GM’s Ultimum batteries. It will also ride on the same next-gen battery-electric architecture that will underpin most Cadillac and Chevy EVs going forward. We’ll get our first full look at it on August 6th, but what exactly can we expect?
GMC’s Latest Teaser Video Gives Us a Decent Look at the Hummer EV
Apart from the Bronco, there was another nameplate set to make a return this year – the Hummer. GMC even played out commercials at the Superbowl announcing a 20 May 2020 debut, but that didn’t happen due to the pandemic. Now, the company has announced that the Hummer will debut later this fall. The production of the electric super truck will begin in the fall of 2021.

Mercedes Just Gave the AMG GT More Power as the GT S Trim is Discontinued
Mercedes-Benz just unveiled the beefed-up AMG GT Black Series model, its most powerful V-8 sports car to date. But the base AMG GT is also getting a bit of extra attention with a more powerful engine and some additional features and tech.
The introduction of the updated AMG GT also marks the end of the line for the AMG GT S trim, so Mercedes basically merged two entry-level models into one.
Audi Sport Is Banking on Emotional Electrified Performance
As automakers shift deeper into electrification, the option of having a pure, unelectrified combustion engine is slowly fading away. The latest automaker to make this more than evident is Audi or, to be more specific, Audi Sport – the group within Audi that’s responsible for all the high-performance RS models that we all love. Audi marketing Boss Rolf Michl expanded on this in an interview with Autocar, exposing Audi Sport’s intention of limiting drivetrain options in the future for all RS models.
