2017 Audi TT RS-R by ABT Sportsline
The story of the Audi TT RS dates back to 2009 when it was conceived to serve as the range-topping variant of the automaker’s family of TT sports cars. Eight years and a generation change later, the TT RS remains as the embodiment of Audi performance mixed in with an affordable price tag. Yes, there’s the R8 supercar now too, but those bad boys easily fetch six figures in base form. The TT, for all intents and purposes, has served as Audi’s everyman sports car, and the TT RS is becoming the most desirable of the lot.
It’s only fitting, then, that just months after the new-generation Audi TT RS officially made its debut at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show, the first in what will inevitably end up being a long list of tuning programs for the sports car will make its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. This program, which is dubbed the TT RS-R, comes by way of ABT Sportsline, who you may know for its laundry list of available tuning kits for models wearing the four rings badge.
The German tuner knows its Audis the same way LeBron James knows basketball, so it’s no surprise that it’s initial offering for the TT RS comes with a load of upgrades. But none are more important than power gains to the car’s new 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine, which bring power to 500 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque.
The power gains are impressive, but seeing as this is ABT Sportsline we’re talking about here, there’s more to this TT RS program than raunchy power and neck-straining performance. Exterior upgrades are available, and they are aplenty. Same thing with updates on the interior, which count as a lot considering that all the work put into that section was taken cared of by ABT Individual, the tuner’s very own in-house personalization division.
Sadly, there is a caveat to ABT’s TT RS-R, and that’s quantity. The tuner, for one reason or another, decided to build only 50 examples of the program, making it that much more exclusive and a lot harder to get. The good news is that according to ABT, individual components of the program are available for conversions. So if you don’t get the full TT RS-R experience, there are other ways to get, well, some parts of it.

2017 Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport by ABT Sportsline
When you have a car that already holds the Nürburgring lap record for a front-wheel drive production car, there’s little reason to expect the car to be capable of bigger and better things. While that may be true in a production sense, the aftermarket world is a different beast altogether. Previously thought of to be improbable are being made possible with the right program and no more is that evident than ABT Sportsline’s newest aftermarket program, one that specifically takes on the record-setting Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport, otherwise known as the king of the ‘Ring as far as FWD cars are concerned.
So how exactly did ABT Sportsline get to improve on a car that already packs 261 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque in standard guise and a ridiculous 305 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque in its more powerful “S” configuration? The short answer, of course, is tuning know-how. The German automaker is one of the most respected tuners in the aftermarket scene, a level it has attained after years of churning out impressive tuning kits for a wide range of makes and models.
ABT’s program for the Golf GTI Clubsport is no different as it packs a comprehensive list of upgrades that includes a new aero kit, interior upgrades, suspension improvements, and of course, an engine program that revolves around the tuner’s award-winning New Generation tuning module.
The results on the Golf GTI Clubsport and the Clubsport S are significant. The GTI Clubsport, for example, gets its power up to 335 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque while the Clubsport S sees its output shoot up to 365 ponies and 339 pound-feet of torque. For a hot hatch that already boasts of being the standard-bearer among all hot hatches, it seems unfair that both versions of the Golf GTI Clubsport still has a room for improvement.
Then again, that’s why ABT Sportsline is considered as one of the best in the business.

ABT Sportsline is adding another program to its long list of tuning upgrades for Volkswagen models. This latest offering is for the Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport and just like past kits for VW’s resident hot hatch, this one comes with a mix of everything, from exterior upgrades to performance enhancements that bring out as much as 340 horsepower and 318 pound-feet of torque out of the car’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
As suave as the work on the engine is, the aerodynamic upgrades are just as important. True to its reputation, ABT Sportsline built an aero body kit that touches on all sections of the hot hatch. Likewise, the Golf GTI Clubsport’s chassis and suspension modifications weren’t spared from the tuning prowess of the German aftermarket company. The only thing missing from the kit are interior upgrades, although knowing ABT Sportsline, don’t expect these enhancements to go past the usual tuner-sourced pedals and floor mats.
All told, the kit is what you’d expect from an aftermarket company as renowned as ABT Sportsline. The tuner has been in the game for a long time and it’s with kits like this one that provide a clear example of the experience that comes with having some years in the business.

2016 Volkswagen Touareg by ABT Sportsline
ABT Sportsline has been around the tuning game for 25 years (not to be confused with Auto-Abt’s own 120-year history) but its history with SUVs only goes back to 2002. Despite the abbreviated history, the German tuner has evolved into one of the biggest aftermarket tuners in the world, specifically when it comes to Volkswagen models. That fact was on full display recently when ABT presented its latest aftermarket offering for a VW with a tuning program dedicated to the Touareg SUV. There are no mouth-watering spikes in power to speak of with this kit, but the tuner did what it does best, polishing the Touareg’s power and performance numbers by helping add juice to the SUV’s two diesel engines, including a peak output of 385 horsepower and 649 pound-feet of torque for the Europe-spec 4.2-liter V-8 TDI engine.
In addition to the power upgrades, ABT Sportsline also has a specially developed aerodynamic package that adds both aesthetic and functional appeal to the SUV. New wheels are also part of the kit as they always are in any ABT Sportsline program. There are also chassis and suspension upgrades to help balance out the Touareg’s handling characteristics with the power upgrades in tow.
There’s a lot to like about this new program from ABT. Volkswagen Touareg owners, in particular, should be ecstatic about the opportunity to get some extra muscle out of their luxury SUVs. There aren’t that many tuners that venture into VW SUVs quite like ABT Sportsline so having this program available is a blessing in it of itself. The fact that it comes from one of the industry’s best VW tuners is just icing on the cake.

Audi AS4 By ABT Sportsline
The Audi A4 doesn’t get the same kind of adulation reserved for the R8 supercar or the attention that is normally commanded by the A6 and A7 luxury sedans. But ever since it first arrived in 1994, the A4 has earned the reputation of a model that brings out the Audi fan in a lot of people. It’s true that while it may the entry-level model in the German automaker’s premium lineup of sedans, the A4 has carved out an identity unique to its own.
That identity is also why a tuner like ABT Sportsline has spent hours upon hours of its time building programs specifically for the A4. The tuner’s latest work also speaks to the versatility of the A4 as the kit comes with engine upgrade packages for two engine variants of the sedan, one for the 2.0-liter TFSI that nets 330 horsepower and another for the 3.0-liter TDI V-6 engine that results in 325 ponies.
There’s not a lot of flash that went with the creation of this program. ABT Sportsline opted to keep it simple and effective and the results are what you see. Exterior upgrades are limited, although there are a couple of aero components that provide both cosmetic and handling improvements. A fresh new set of wheels also adds another layer to the A4, as does a suspension upgrade that ties everything together to create a more balanced ride for the sedan.
It’s fitting that ABT Sportsline embarked on building this program as it celebrates its 120th anniversary this year. The A4 has, for a long time, been one of its most tuned models, and with the release of this new upgrade, it seems that the tuner’s old habits aren’t about to die down anytime soon.

2016 Audi TT-S 120th Anniversary Edition by ABT Sportsline
ABT Sportsline is 120 years old. It’s a little hard to comprehend given how old the auto industry is as a whole, but it’s all true. The German tuning firm traces its roots all the way back to 1896 when it was founded as Auto-Abt. The firm has evolved over the years with the current iteration – Abt Sportsline GmBH – only forming in 1991. Despite the rather jagged history, ABT Sportsline still harkens back to 1896 as the year it officially came to existence, hence the celebration of its 120th anniversary.
To commemorate this incredible occasion, ABT Sporstline is presenting three special edition programs for three of Audi’s most popular vehicles: the TT-S, Q3, and the T6 van. This space is dedicated to the TT-S, the sportiest and without question the most performance-oriented of the three models. Following its usual blueprint, ABT Sportsline gave the TT-S a comprehensive kit that underscores the car’s sporting characteristics. The kit has an aerodynamic kit made mostly of carbon fiber. It also a comprehensive engine upgrade that includes three different stages, each with varying levels of power increases. Oh, and it also has those aftermarket floor mats that are staples in any ABT tuning kit.
The only downside to this tuning kit is its limited number. The tuner says that only 40 units of the TT-S 120th Anniversary Edition will be built. Pricing numbers have yet to be announced, but given the limited and unique nature of these TT-S models, expect each of the 40 units to sell for a premium relative to the price of the standard model.

First unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Audi RS Q3 has developed quite a nice following over in Europe. I wish I could say the same thing here in the US, but since it’s not available in this part of the world, any form of chest-beating for the high-powered crossover would be irrelevant.
Audi seems to be perfectly happy with the reception the RS Q3 has received across the Atlantic and customers in that area are just as happy knowing that German tuner ABT Sportsline has just unveiled a tuning kit for the high-powered Q3 crossover.
The kit is typical ABT Sportsline. No flash, all substance. Sure, it has some decal stripes to add some flavor to the RS Q3’s appearance, but everything else included in the kit is there for the purpose of improving the crossover’s performance and handling capabilities. The engine upgrade, in particular, is impressive. Same thing with the suspension modifications that resulted in a lower and wider stance for the RS Q3.
There’s a lot to like about this new kit for the RS Q3. The fact that it comes from ABT Sportsline is probably the least surprising thing about it.

The all-new Audi TTS represents a new styling direction for the firm’s beloved entry-level sports car. With a new look featuring the latest in Audi’s design philosophy, the TTS is certainly ripe for some aftermarket loving. The model was only launched in May 2015 and it didn’t take long for ABT Sportsline to jump in front of the line with one of the first tuning programs for the sports car.
The German tuner is famous for cooking up impressive programs for the Four Rings. Just recently, ABT Sportsline introduced a new kit for the Audi SQ5. It’s also done work on the Audi S8, S1, RS5, and naturally, the previous generation of the TTS.
Now that there’s a new TTS in town, ABT Sportsline went back to work, designing a new aerodynamic kit that’s well suited for the proportions of the sports car. The tuner also put in some time dressing up the interior and beefing up the sports car’s suspension. But, anybody who knows of ABT Sportsline’s work, knows that the real highlight of its programs is the engine modification. On that end, ABT didn’t disappoint with what it was able to bring out of the TTS’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
If anybody ever expected anything less out of ABT Sportsline, this program for the new Audi TTS would put all those doubts away.

ABT Sportsline has released an updated program for the Audi SQ5 made up of some of the company’s famous aerodynamic kits and improvements on its existing engine modification for the crossover. Back in 2013, ABT Sportsline released a similar kit for the SQ5 that featured many of the same components included in the new program. It may be recycled from a technical standpoint, but since the SQ5 has undergone stylistic changes of its own, this new kit is all about giving the SUV a different and a more up-to-the-times presentation than its predecessor.
As usual, ABT Sportsline focused its attention on three things: the body, engine, and the suspension of the SQ5. Each section of the crossover received its own upgrades. The body, for instance, gets an aero kit that improves the SQ5’s appearance. Likewise, improvements on the suspension provides enhanced driving dynamics. Even the crossover’s new 3.0-liter TDI diesel engine has its own engine modification that pushes its power output past the tuner’s previous modification for the SQ5.
All together, the new tuning kit puts the SQ5 in a totally different light. It may still be Audi’s resident high-performance diesel crossover, but all the aftermarket add-ons given to it by ABT Sportsline shows that there are still enough ways to bring more out of the SQ5. The kit itself isn’t going to turn the crossover into something radically different or out of its character, but with all the pieces in place, that might as well have been the reason for the kit.

You’re not going to find a lot of cars that offer the same amount of premium performance and luxury comfort quite like the Audi S8. You could try, but your efforts will be probably end in futile resignation. The S8 is a luxury limousine that can match wits with some of the most expensive supercars on the market. Naturally, it’s also the perfect model for ABT Sportline to work its magic on.
The German tuner known for building some of the aftermarket Audi programs is back at it again. It’s certainly safe to assume that ABT Sportsline developed an impressive program for the S8, giving us even more reasons to love the performance variant of the A8 luxury car.
I wouldn’t put it past ABT Sportsline to accomplish this goal. After all, this is the same tuner that has created aftermarket programs for just about every Audi model in the market today. As far as Audi vehicles are concerned, nothing is beyond reach for ABT Sportsline; this kit for the S8 is proof of that.

The Volkswagen Golf is one of VW’s cornerstone models. I don’t think anybody will dispute that, given the model’s been around for seven generations. The Golf has been and continues to be loved by millions of Volkswagen fans all over the world. You might even say that ABT Sportsline falls into that group. The German tuner’s affection for the Golf is well documented, so it comes as no surprise that ABT has once again turned its attention to the Golf.
Actually, the Golf R is the subject of ABT Sportsline’s latest program. You all know what that means, right? Expect plenty of power under that hood. In the interest of full disclosure, ABT did not disappoint. The program also has the traditional aerodynamic upgrades, as well as a new set of wheels.

The Audi S1 is a spunky little sports hatchback, isn’t it? I like to think so, especially after Audi spent a great deal of time and resources promoting the model to anyone willing to listen. Well, I listened pretty intently and yes, the S1 is all sorts of awesome. But there are some folks, like German aftermarket company ABT Sportsline, that think being merely awesome isn’t good enough. So it did what any self-respecting tuning firm would do when presented with a car like the S1: it built a tuning kit for it.
ABT Sportsline’s work on the S1 follows a long list of impressive programs the tuner has created for Audi. Sure, it doesn’t have the same amount of unconscionable power as the R8 or the supreme luxury of the A7, but the S1 does brim with the kind of confidence that attracts customers from all over the world to it. For its part, ABT sought to make the S1 more confident in its own skin. That’s why the German tuner prepared a comprehensive tuning kit for the sports hatch that includes new aerodynamic components, improved suspension capabilities, and an engine upgrade that increased the car’s output by an impressive 34 percent.
This is the kind of upgrade that ABT Sportsline has made a living developing. It’s got the perfect balance of style and substance that can bring out the untapped potential of a hot hatch like the S1. As if it needed it to be any hotter, this ABT-tuned S1 now has the makings of a scorcher on the road, just the way ABT intended it to be.

MTM Tuning presented its own program for the Audi RS Q3 a few weeks ago, and it was an impressive kit that played into the strengths of the German crossover. We applauded MTM then for its work not knowing that another noted German tuner was on its way to revealing its own program for the RS Q3. Enter ABT Sportsline, the same company that has made it a mission to improve every Audi model, using the sophisticated science of customization.
ABT Sportsline’s program for the RS Q3 doesn’t lack anything. Really, every aspect of the crossover was taken care of. Whether it’s the improved output numbers or the new set of 21-inch wheels, the German tuner didn’t leave any stone unturned on its way to decking out the RS Q3.
We’re not surprised by the things ABT Sportsline does. When it comes to versatile kits that offer a blend of everything, this tuner knows what it’s doing. That’s the case here with the Audi RS Q3, a sporty crossover that demands our attention. ABT Sportsline gave it that, and a whole lot more.

There’s a reason why ABT Sportsline is one of our favorite auto tuners in the world. The German company knows how to make programs that improve the cars they work on without going overboard with the modifications. It takes a specific set of skills to do that and ABT has it down path. Its new program for the Volkswagen Scirocco is living proof of that.
The two-fold modification is made up of an extensive aero kit and an impressive performance bump that breathes new life to the Scirocco. That’s not an easy thing to pull off and yet ABT Sportsline does with the ease of a tuner that knows what it’s doing.
Other tuners may promise the same things and yet fail to live up to all the expectations they set. That’s never been the case with ABT Sportsline. Over the years, it’s produced one impressive program after another. And as long as it can build kits like this for the Volkswagen Scirocco, there’s no reason for us to start doubting their tuning capabilities.
Not that we ever did because if we haven’t said it enough, we’ll say it again.
We’re big fans of ABT Sportsline and our fandom has never wavered.

By most accounts, the A5 Volkswagen Beetle is a very good car. It retains the iconic Beetle look of previous generations, but visually, it’s been updated, tweaked, nipped, and tucked to give it a more modern, even somewhat masculine, appearance. Under the skin, it’s built on a very capable platform that’s shared with the Jetta and the Golf. It might not be your cup of tea, and especially in its convertible form, it may be hard to get past the cultural stigma that the Beetle is a car for teenage girls, but if anyone can break the Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet of its feminine image, it’s ABT.
ABT Sportsline, the mostly-Audi and Volkswagen tuner out of Germany, now offers its complete package for the Beetle Cabriolet. If you want a more aggressive look, the company can give you that. If you want an upgraded suspension, it can give you that. Best of all though, if you want more power from they engine, the tuner can give you that too. Put it all together, and you might even have a drop-top GTI-killer.

Take a small peak at Audi’s entire lineup and it’s easy to get entranced by all the options that are before you. But even with all of its high-grade models, Audi’s S3 sedan is one of those rare models that offer a nice blend of luxury, sportiness, and performance. That’s probably the biggest reason why ABT Sportsline chose the S3 for its latest aftermarket program.
Combining healthy doses of aerodynamic and performance upgrades, ABT Sportsline took the task of turning up the volume on the S3 sedan’s capabilities, and in the process unleashing the sports saloon’s full potential.
Countless other aftermarket tuners have built their own aftermarket interpretations for the S3. It’s just that this new project from ABT Sportsline leaves you wondering why people consider those other options when turning to this particular tuner will net you every modification you could ever want for the S3.

While some may argue that the Audi S8 is maybe too formal by design, no one can deny its status as a luxurious and powerful sedan. And although it is fighting a tough market, the 520 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque that lie under the hood make a very compelling case.
To some more demanding owners and potential customers that’s not enough power. But with no versions above the S8, they either have to choose a different body and go with the RS7 — rated at 560 horsepower — or take it to ABT Sportsline, the No. 1 specialist when it comes to Audi-badged vehicles, for a little extra something.
Based on the facelifted S8, the company’s latest product comes to fill the gap with a sedan that has all the luxurious standard features fitted from the factory and a hefty power increase on top. With more than 600 horsepower and tap, the S8 by ABT Sportsline has its very own combination of exterior paint and wheels, but, as with most of the tuner’s products, customers are allowed to add numerous extras before taking delivery.

Summer is still more than a month away, but the folks over at ABT Sportsline are gearing up for the hot season with an equally hot convertible based on the 2014 Audi RS5.
However, unlike the RS7 the company started offering last year with up to 700 horsepower on tap, the RS5 in question comes with no powertrain updates whatsoever. This means customers will have to settle for the 450 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque delivered by the 4.2-liter V-8 or look into other Abt Sportsline options.
Don’t be too disappointed though, having more than 500 horsepower in a convertible isn’t always pleasant. And, truth be told, there are plenty of options out there wearing either BMW or Mercedes-Benz badges.
Anyway, ABT’s RS5 isn’t exactly bone stock, as it comes fitted with a stainless-steel muffler system that includes both a mid and a rear muffler. The end result is a throatier and more aggressive V-8 exhaust note that will let everybody know this isn’t a regular RS5. You can also opt to remove the speed limiter on your RS5 from ABT, bumping the top speed to 180 mph from the stock 174 mph.
