• 2013 Acura ILX "Street Build" Concept

Acura unveiled the 2013 ILX at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show and now, for the 2012 SEMA Show, they have come up with the very cool "Street Build" project car developed in cooperation with Evasive Motorsports. The new ILX Street Project represents Acura’s return to the SEMA Show after a six-year hiatus.

The Acura ILX "Street Build" Concept is based on the 2013 ILX 6-Speed Manual equipped with the vehicle’s Premium Package. It adds a supercharger kit from CT Engineering and an ECU tune that increases the 2.4-liter inline-4’s output up to an impressive 250 HP (up from the standard 201 HP). This special project also received a SP Elite exhaust from Greddy for a throatier engine sound.

The package continues with the Acura Genuine Accessories aero kit that adds a new front spoiler, new side skirts, a rear spoiler and deck lid spoiler, and body side molding. The car sits on a new set of 19" Volk G25 wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires.

dave, it looks like that because that is what it is. still, that does not make less of car. i like it too.

this car looks like a more refined honda accord. and that is nice. it looks good.

nissan has infinity, toyota has lexus, honda has acura. they are all great cars.

it’s been quite some time since i heard of acura. good they’re back.

tinur, this is not as powerful as it looks. 250 HP is not extremely much for a 2.4 liter engine in a luxury sedan. not little, that is true. but not much either.

any powerful luxury sedan is good. this one fits the profile, so, by simple deduction, it is a good car.

the 25% increase is quite a lot.

you are right midocar, but i expected this model to be somewhat more than it is, especially because it is the "come back" model for acura.

i think that it is good acura came back to SEMA. shows like these make manufacturers come up with better ideas for their cars.

i love the electric blue and the sporty air of the car. i think it is a good project.

i love the name too, but i did expect a little more from it. i mean, 250 HP is ok, but it could have been better.

this car looks good and i love its name: street build.

Acura is the luxury version of the Honda. For those with a little imagination, this could be suggested by the logos of both brands. Top of the letter "a" is discontinuous and makes you think about "h".

jenny clearly proved what I wrote earlier. she can be happy that she discovered something new todaysmiley

I do not think it’s necessary to be mischievous. as long as we live, we learn.
