Is Alfa Romeo preparing a new 8C Competizione? Well, if recent viewings of prototypes caught testing have any say in it (which they always do) then we would have to say, “Yes!” It also helps that we have been hearing about this version for a few years now so production pretty much seems to be set in stone at this point. The new Competizione will be called the Alfa Romeo 8C GTA (Gran Turismo Allegerito) and is said to be a more exotic version of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione.. It is also said to be modeled after the classic 1965 Giulia Sprint GTA. Pictures of the new Alfa Romeo 8C GTA have already been floating around the web, but here are some nice renderings of the new beast that will surely tickle some fancies.

Full story after the jump.

The “Allegerito” is in the name stand for lightened in Italian and that is exactly what the GTA will be. This model is said to lose as much as 150kg and will get an increase in performance that will launch it over the 500bhp mark. The jump in horsepower will be made by recalibrating the existing 4.7 liter V8 engine. A slight increment in wheel track and larger wheel passes will be made to host larger wheels prepared to welcome the boost of power. All that power will also be supported by a lower stance, revised aerodynamics, and larger air intakes. The additional muscle means that the 8C GTA will be able to make a 0 to 60 MPH sprint in less than 4 seconds, while the top speed will be raised to 200 MPH.

This model is said to be unveiled sometime this year, but will be limited to only 100 units. As a reminder, that is much less than the offerings of theAlfa Romeo 8C Competizione at 500 coupes and 500 roadsters so we know this car will be that much better.

Prices will start at over 200,000 EUR so start preparing now. It’s a small price to pay for a high performance variant of the already extravagant 8C Competizione.

I wonder if what are the other specification of this vehicle? Well, I hope that it is impressive as well as on its engine. Anyway, I love the aggressive but sophisticated appearance of this 8C GTA.

V8 engine is kind of impressive, but I wondered if how much horsepower it can deliver for this Alfa Romeo. By the way, I admit that it is already striking on that design.

If I’m not mistaken, the look of this one is telling me that it is a sports car right? Anyway, I had to admit that it is absolutely looking great on its sleek body paint, but I wonder on what will be the figure performance of it?

What’re the other speculations of this 8C GTA? Anyway, as for the looks, it’s quite impressive on its platform and sleek body paint, and its V8 engine is quite good enough on it, I guess.

I just wonder on what was the competitor of this car. For the pricing, I would say that I could buy a Lamborghini Aventador with that price. However, its a good thing that this Alfa Romeo version has named GTA!

if not mistaken, I think there is already a 2011 version for this model. The aesthetic was great as well as the wheels! For the overall look I would give a 100% rate for it! BTW, I was impressed with the boost power 60 hp on the engine!

This Alfa has cut no corners because I think this new vehicle is the most extreme to leave the factory gates. However, the design cues such as the aggressive bonnet vents and ice-white ‘mouth’ and it is not only to make this model stand out from the pack, but also give a nod to the firm’s to illustrious racing history, too.

It looks like they’ve got the rear end from alfa romeo MITO... specially the tail light.

150KG is a lot of weight to a sports car. For sure they make use of carbon and other light materials to achieve the light weight of the car.
