Prodrive to unveil Alfa Romeo Brera "S"

Its officially confirmed that a special edition of Alfa Romeo Brera is being produced for the UK market. Its creator, the British motorsport company, Prodrive, plans to show the modified car at the end of the month. During the last year Prodrive worked closely with Alfa Romeo, especially on the suspension and handling mods.

The new Alfa Romeo Brera “S” has been designed to build on the “existing model’s capabilities to deliver outstanding driver feedback and handling.” This will be a limited edition to only 500 cars and all of them will be differentiated by some exterior and interior details. Among other companies which worked with Prodrive there are names like Subaru and Aston Martin.

Fiorantini Vola unveiled in Geneva

A current topic of the last years, specially for the sports car, is the comeback of the “one-off”. Fioravanti, in its 20th anniversary of activity, caters to the Alfa Romeo lovers proposing this concept, previously showed in Geneva, as base for single pieces.

The technical layout that Fioravanti suggest with Vola is the famous and typical Alfa Romeo “transaxle” and it’s possible to adapt with few modifications the existing “transaxle” mechanics.

The aim is to give again to the passionate of this glorious brand the typical Alfa Romeo values of agility, sensibility and enjoy of driving. The rotating roof that characterize this concept is an innovative and extremely simple solution and it can operate both automatically or manually. It’s the same system that Ferrari has used for the limited series of 575 Superamerica, such system let to obtain evident advantages for: weight saving, room for luggage and very slight variation in the “baricenter” of the car between open or closed roof.

Alfa Romeo unveiled the all-new Spider at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show. Two years after, Novitec decided is time for the roadster to become a little more sportier.

Even if the tuner did not worked under the hood, the Novitec Spider looks a lot more fun to drive than the standard version. With a new front bumper and rear diffuser, Spider’s aerodynamics are much more underlined. In the rear Novitec also added a new stainless steel rear silencer accentuating the sound and four tailpipes (115x85 mm ovals) that make the back-end looking more aggressive.

The suspension was adjusted from 35 mm to 75 mm; and this next to 20 inch N9 multi-piece rims ensure the best drive ever.
