Alfa Romeo has had one heck of a year for 2010. They are right smack in the middle of celebrating their centennial anniversary and are taking advantage of that in a serious way. Part of their celebration was taking part in the Goodwood Festival of Speed in a “shine in the spotlight” kind of way. Not only did they bring their new Alfa Romeo 8C to the festival, but they also brought over 50 historic vehicles to showcase during the event and were given the honor of creating a statue to use as the ‘Central Feature’, a statue that’s prominently displayed every year in front of the Goodwood house. Another portion of their celebratory movement was bringing out their restyled and upgraded 159 sedan and station wagon models out to the market. Great things are happening at Alfa Romeo and they don’t want it to stop.
Now Alfa Romeo has decided to bring out a special edition model strictly for the Japanese market. It’s called the Alfa Romeo GT Quadrifoglio d’Oro (Golden Clover) and will feature custom gold badging. The exterior paint finish is a vibrant red that is mirrored in the red painted brake calipers. The exterior also features a chrome trim at the lower part of the front fascia.

Alfa Romeo’s iconic Cloverleaf badge is back in the UK, this time on a special series Alfa GT which goes on sale on 1 July.
A rare symbol associated with Alfa Romeo’s prestigious racing heritage, the Cloverleaf denotes enhanced sports handling characteristics along with distinctive styling additions.
Topping the four-version Alfa GT Cloverleaf range is the 1.9JTDM 16V Cloverleaf Q2 170bhp, featuring a Q2 limited slip differential to deliver outstanding cornering ability, along with a sport button that varies the mapping of the throttle to give a normal or sporty accelerator response.
Delivering head-turning style and performance to match, the range-topping 170bhp 1.9 JTDM powers the Alfa GT Q2 Cloverleaf from 0-62mph in 8.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 134mph; while the gutsy 150bhp 1.9 JTDM will accelerate from 0-62mph in 9.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 130mph.
The 2.0JTS engine version will accelerate from 0-62mph in 8.7 seconds, and reach a top speed of 134mph, while the 1.8 petrol engine version has a top speed of 124mph, with 0-62mph acceleration in 10.6 seconds.
Alfa Romeo will unveil at the Geneva Motor Show the GT Blackline III 1.9 JTDM, a model powered by a 1.9 JTDM engine that develops 170 hp at 3.750 rpm and 330 Nm (33,6 Kgm) of torque at 2.000 rpm. It makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 8.2 seconds and can hit a top speed of 216 km/h.
Alfa GT Blackline III features 18" alloy wheels, double chromed exhaust, and satined effect for mirrors, grills and whiskers. Even in the interior the Alfa GT Serie Speciale “Blackline III” reveals a sporty charisma, as shown by the sporty pedals in aluminium and the serigraphed kick-panel. Furthermore, the black tones characterize the black leather seats with a central perforated insert and Alfa Romeo logo on the headrest, as well as the steering wheel and display panel in leather.
