British Super car manufacturer Ascari Cars Ltd is concentrating its focus for 2007 on a high scoring performance in the UK and European GT3 racing series with its KZ-1R super car. Ascari is currently completing the latest three bespoke KZ-1R GT3 cars at its state of the art production facility in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The finished vehicles will head to Europe for testing sessions before the start of the FIA GT3 European Championship.
Ascari, the manufacturer that makes the KZ1, is preparing another bomb on wheels. Powerd by a 600 bhp V8 engine, the A10 is expected to do more that 220 mph.
So far, a single yellow example has been completed and is being extensively tested before the regular production version is revealed in 2006. Engineers at Banbury and at the exclusive RaceResortAscari racetrack, are committed to ensuring this 220mph supercar delivers a knockout blow to the competition. The KZ1 was originally conceived following on from the successes of Team Ascari. The idea was proposed for a road-going sports car based on racing technology. In the spring of 2000, that concept began to take shape in the form of the prototype KZ1. Now completed, the Ascari KZ1 has been transformed from a dream to a production reality.
