2019 Aston Martin Rapide AMR
Introduced in 2010, the Aston Martin Rapide isn’t exactly fresh. Despite this, the British are in no hurry to replace the sedan, as no prototypes were spotted on public roads. However, Aston Martin just gave the Rapide the AMR treatment, thus creating its most extreme four-door sedan.
Previewed by a concept car displayed at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the Rapide AMR made it into production with very few changes. Aston Martin describes it as a vehicle that’s "capable of comfortably transporting a team of race drivers to a circuit on the other side of a continent and then tackling the track when they get there," and needless to say, the sedan looks pretty cool in the AMR suit. As usual, the sedan also gained extra horsepower and will be built in limited numbers. Let’s find out more about that in the review below.

2019 Aston Martin DB11 AMR
Aston Martin debuted the DB11 in 2016 at the Geneva International Motor Show, introducing it as a replacement for the critically acclaimed DB9. Offered with both a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 from Mercedes-AMG and a twin-turbo 5.2-liter V-12 made in-house, the DB11 quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with in the luxury grand tourer performance segment. Now, Aston is replacing the top-trim V-12 with an even-faster version from AMR, stuffing it with more power, sharper handling, and tons of aesthetic upgrades front to back, inside and out.

2018 Aston Martin V12 Vantage V600
Aston Martin just redesigned the Vantage for 2018, replacing the previous model after no fewer than 13 years on the market. But, in a surprising turn of events, the British firm revived the old model for a limited-edition run called the Vantage V600. Built by the company’s Q division, the V600 was designed on request and will be produced in only 14 units, split between seven coupes and seven convertibles. The Vantage V600 pays tribute to the original V8 Vantage V600 that Aston Martin introduced in 1998.
Based on the Virage model sold between 1989 and 2000, the previous V600 was the most extreme iteration of the Vantage model. Powered by a 600 horsepower supercharged engine (remember, that was in 1998!), the first V600 was one of the most powerful sports cars of its time. Come 2018, and Aston Martin is sending the VH-platform Vantage into the history books with a similar model. Although not as extreme as its predecessor, the new-old V600 marks the official retirement of the iconic VH platform in two-door Aston Martins.

2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate
We’re stepping out from the madness going on at SEMA to bring you some important news from across the pond. Aston Martin, creators of some of the finest super GTs in the business, is all set to say goodbye to one of them. Yes, folks. The Aston Martin Vanquish is getting ready to say adieu, as production of the model is set to end soon. But, before that time comes, the British automaker is giving all of us one last treat in the form of the Vanquish S Ultimate, a last hurrah special edition model that will serve as a fitting swan song for the beloved Vanquish line.
The special edition model is limited to just 175 units and, as many of you might expect, it comes with plenty of exclusive features, none more important than the three exclusive color schemes that Aston has prepared specifically for the model under the “Designer Theme” banner. In addition, the automaker is also offering specially created color and trim packages that are unique to the Vanquish S Ultimate, so if any of you decide to get one, you’re getting treated to some design elements that no other Aston Martin has, presumably including the Valkyrie hypercar. That’s a pretty sweet selling point, isn’t it? Given the limited quantity, it would be ideal if you place your orders now because Aston’s already taking them. Should you luck into one, you can expect to take delivery of your Vanquish S Ultimate sometime in the first quarter of 2018.

2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante Tom Brady Signature Edition
Tom Brady is a five-time Super Bowl champion, is regarded as the greatest quarterback in NFL history, and has a wife who is somehow more popular than he is. Tom Brady has so many things going for him that he now even has a special edition Aston Martin named after him. This is the Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante Tom Brady Signature Edition, the product of a collaboration between Touchdown Tommy and the bespoke design team over at Q by Aston Martin - Commission. It’s limited to just 12 units - no surprise there - and getting one will probably be as difficult as stopping Brady and the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. Sorry, Atlanta Falcons.
There’s no word yet on how much each of these special edition Vanquish S Volantes will cost, but rest assured, they’re not going to come cheap considering the status of the name that’s attached to it. See, this isn’t so much an Aston Martin as it is an Aston Martin that Brady had a hand in designing from scratch. He may not be known for having creative design instincts, but it is pleasantly surprising to see the Vanquish S Volante Tom Brady Signature Edition turn out as well as it did. For one, it has impressive bespoke qualities, the kind that you expect from Brady himself. Then there’s the attention-to-detail, another hallmark Brady quality that we’re saying on full display in this Vanquish S Volante.

2018 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake
Redesigned in 2012, the current Aston Martin Vanquish is set to retire in less than a couple of years in order to make way for a brand-new model, and the British firm is doing whatever it takes to spice things up before pulling the plug. In 2016, it unveiled a re-bodied version of the grand tourer made by Zagato, but the coupe was soon followed by a Volante version. 2017 brought a Speedster model as well, and with 2018 just around the corner Aston Martin and Zagato launched a new body style, the Shooting Brake. The wagon model will be as exclusive as its sibling and likely extremely expensive, but it’s an important milestone in a market where shooting brakes have almost gone the way of the dodo bird.
While the Vantage Zagato wagon arrived unexpectedly, it’s not exactly surprising that Aston Martin created a shooting brake. The British firm is no stranger to this body style, and it has released quite a few wagons in the past. Harold Radford built such versions of DB5, DB6, and DBS back in the 1960s, but Aston Martin made its very own production run of the Virage in the early 1990s. More recently, Bertone transformed the Rapide in a shooting brake, but these are just a few examples. We definitely need more shooting brakes on the market today, and even though the Vanquish Zagato is limited to very few examples, it will be great to see one more sports wagon hit public roads.

You Need a Lot of Money To Even Sniff A One-Off Aston Martin
Like most premium automakers that have deep-pocketed customers at their disposal, Aston Martin knows the value of diversifying its lineup to keep its clients on their toes. As rivals like Ferrari, McLaren, and Rolls-Royce have shown, one way to do that is to offer one-off models that no other person will get to own. Aston Martin has actually done this exercise in the past courtesy of its Prototype Operation division, having created the CC100 Speedster in 2013 to celebrate the marque’s 100th anniversary. Now it looks like the one-off offers are back on the table, provided that customers fork up at least £2 million for each car. By the way, that converts to $2.6 million in today’s exchange rates. Gulp.
Aston Martin CEO, Andy Palmer, made the proclamation in a conversation with Road & Track, raising a lot of eyebrows in the process. There is one other catch though to getting Aston Martin to build a one-off. Palmer said that on top of paying the steep price to even get considered for one, interested customers would also have to wait in line for their turn because Aston is only building two of them per year. And, just in case that condition still suits someone with deep pockets and a longing for one-off creations, the official wait, at this point, is around two years since the next four slots are already accounted for. Still, if patience is a virtue, two years isn’t a long time to wait for a car that literally nobody else in this world is going to own. Just make sure to keep that £2 million locked away somewhere.

2017 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante
The second-generation V12 Vanquish was introduced in 2012, 11 years after Aston Martin used the nameplate to replace the aging Virage. Although it borrows the same styling cues made popular by the DB9, the Vanquish stands out thanks to its design features inspired by the One-77 supercar, sporty yet stylish interior, and a powerful 5.9-liter V-12 engine. Set to be replaced before 2018, the Vanquish is still being used as a base for numerous limited-edition grand tourers.
In 2016, Aston Martin unveiled the Vanquish Zagato, the fifth car to emerge from a collaboration that stretches back over five decades. Previewed by a concept car that Aston Martin showcased at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este earlier in 2016, the production coupe has been joined by a convertible at the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Set to be produced in only 99 units, just like the coupe, the Vanquish Zagato Volante follows in the footsteps of the 1987 V8 Vantage Volante and the 2003 DB AR1 as an exclusive Zagato-built sports car with a bespoke body. And, if its predecessors are any indication, the Vanquish Zagato Volante will become one of the rarest Aston Martins ever created.

Aston Martin Throws Down The Hammer On Flipping Valkyrie Reservation Slots
If any of you happen to have a reserved slot for the Aston Martin Valkyrie, don’t even think about flipping that slot just so you can make easy money out of it. Well, you could still do it technically, but if Aston Martin catches you - a good chance it will - you’ll not only lose your reservation slot, but you’ll also get the door shut on you on any future Aston Martin special edition models. Permanently.
That edict comes from no less than Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer, who responded to a tweet showing a Dubai-based dealership selling a “build slot” for the Valkyrie. In his own words, Palmer said: "I doubt they have a slot, but if they do and we identify who flipped, they lose the car." As if that’s not enough, if Aston catches anybody with their hands inside the proverbial cookie jar, they also lose out on any future special edition models the British automaker may build. The lesson then here is quite simple: don’t flip those build slots if you want to remain in the company’s good graces. If you do decide to go for it and you end up getting caught, I can’t imagine a worse punishment in this circumstance than losing out on buying the Valkyrie.

2017 Aston Martin DB11 Henley Royal Regatta
Aston Martin is no stranger to making special edition models. Its Q by Aston Martin personalization department is responsible for recent creations like the Vanquish S Red Arrows Edition that paid tribute to the Spitfire plane and the Blades Aerobatic Display Team and the AM37 powerboat-inspired Vanquish Volante. These two special edition models were unveiled a few months ago, so you can imagine how much of a groove Q by Aston Martin is in. Turns out, we don’t need to wait too long for Q’s next creation because it’s already arrived. It’s called the DB11 Henley Regatta and it’s a sight to behold.
Created to celebrate Aston’s partnership with Henley Royal Regatta, the one-off DB11 packs plenty of exclusive nods that reflect the prestige associated with one of the world’s prestigious rowing events. For those who aren’t familiar, the Henley Royal Regatta is a rowing event held annually on the River Thames by the town of Henley-on-Thames. It was founded in 1839 and is considered one of the oldest sporting events in the world. It figures then that with the event’s history, coupled with Aston Martin’s long-standing involvement in the realm of nautical sports, a partnership between the two entities would happen. Now it has with a one-off DB11 that received extensive work on the exterior and interior to make it a true one-off creation.

2018 Aston Martin Vantage AMR
Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce the Aston Martin Vantage AMR. You might have seen the concept at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show when it was referred to as the AMR Pro Concept. This one is different, though, because it’s the production version of the concept that Aston Martin prepared in recognition of its entry into the FIA World Endurance Championship. More importantly, it’s the first official model of the British automaker’s newly-minted AMG performance sub-brand.
If you’re not excited yet, consider the importance of the Vantage AMR in terms of paving the way for Aston Martin to plow the road with its own line of personalized, performance-focused cars that’s akin to what Mercedes is doing with AMG. The U.K.-based company did say that its plans for the AMR performance division are to help bring renewed focus on specialized models that are based on its current lineup of cars. Think of these AMR-badged units to serve as the bridge between the standard-spec Astons and the actual GT3- and GT4-spec racers that are being developed by Aston Martin Racing. The Vantage AMR is the first of these vehicles, but it most certainly won’t be the last.
