It looks like Audi has just entered the Halloween spirit, a day letter its true, but better than ever. The company has just unveiled the A6 and A7 Black Editions, two models that combine their more emphatic styling with the most extensive equipment list in each range. Prices will range from £35,010 ($56,500) to £56,785 ($91,600).

As their name suggest the two models will be distinguished by black finish for the grille and number plate surrounds and the window frame strips, plus tinted windows. The two special editions will be offered with a new set of wheels, sized 20" for the A6 and 21" for the A7. The wheels are painted in dark titanium finish and are combined with lowered sports suspension.

For the interior the Black Edition will get sports seats upholstered in black Valcona leather, a BOSE surround sound system, DAB digital radio and the Audi Music Interface (AMI) for iPod connection.

Customers will have the possibility to choose between three engines: a 3.0-litre BiTDI unit 313, a 2.0-litre TDI unit with 177 HP and a 3.0-litre TDI with 204 HP.

all the changes justify the designation of "black edition" is not only about the look

  (377) posted on 11.7.2012

the changes from inside the car are downright..."delicious"

  (397) posted on 11.7.2012

is not just about the external changes, but also the interior improvements

good, good ... the beginning is hard. soon you will have the car too smiley

and once again, the people from Audi confirm that they make the good, great

hmmm .. just to me seems exaggerated designation of black edition? has only a few black items ...

i think audi has a great line of cars. and it has lots of models to choose from. adding these black versions can only be a good thing.

over or under those cars, the a7 is in a class of it’s own and it is one great car.

  (312) posted on 11.5.2012

it may be above the cars you mentioned, but i think it is under the 7 series from bmw and it sure is under the s class from mercedes.

  (305) posted on 11.5.2012

i think the a7 is above the mercedes e class. and above the 5 series form the bmw.

  (422) posted on 11.5.2012

i think the a7 is one of the best cars in it’s class. although i am not sure about what class to put it in.

91.600$ for a black audi a7 is a lot. but then again, that is a lot of car. and good quality too. love it.

you read my mind midocar. my wife’s car has 105 HP. and she finds that enough. i wonder what she would say about the 313 HP smiley.

  (475) posted on 11.5.2012

the 109 HP difference is more than more cars have smiley. but that’s what it means to have lots of engines to choose from.

  (509) posted on 11.5.2012

wow, there is a big difference between the 3.0 BiTDI and the 3.0 TDI. over 100 HP.

  (516) posted on 11.5.2012

oh, you are right otto. i was confused. still, nice cars. i think the all black thing makes them look more elegant.

  (542) posted on 11.5.2012

snow, what audi has now is the halloween version of their cars. and it does not have the sport package the mercedeses have.

i thought that mercedes had "black" editions to their AMG cars. now audi has it too?
