You’re not going to find a lot of cars that offer the same amount of premium performance and luxury comfort quite like the Audi S8. You could try, but your efforts will be probably end in futile resignation. The S8 is a luxury limousine that can match wits with some of the most expensive supercars->ke177 on the market. Naturally, it’s also the perfect model for ABT Sportline->ke1753 to work its magic on.

The German tuner known for building some of the aftermarket Audi->ke14 programs is back at it again. It’s certainly safe to assume that ABT Sportsline developed an impressive program for the S8, giving us even more reasons to love the performance variant of the A8 luxury car->ke505.

I wouldn’t put it past ABT Sportsline to accomplish this goal. After all, this is the same tuner that has created aftermarket programs for just about every Audi model in the market today. It’s hard to imagine what a tuning group can do to make you love the S8 even more. Like the A8, it already boasts a cushy and luxurious look with a sculpted exterior and spacious interior. Unlike the A8, the S8 also packs a mouth-watering, turbocharged, V-8 engine that pumps out an impressive 520 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque. What more can ABT Sportsline do to improve the car?

A lot, it turns out. Aesthetically, the German tuner didn’t do much to add to the S8’s already impressive looks. But it did take off the luxury sedan’s stock wheels and replace them with a set of their own in the form of 21-inch ABT DR “Mystic Black” rollers. If those wheels aren’t to your liking, ABT Sportsline also offers a set of 20-inch DR “Gun Metal” wheels or 20-inch ABT ER-C “Silver Bullet” rims. Whatever wheels you choose, they’re going to look mighty fly on the S8.

The other highlight of ABT Sportsline’s program for the S8 is the comprehensive engine upgrade given to the luxury sedan.

I’ve already established just how powerful the S8 is even with its standard engine configuration. But once you add ABT Sportsline’s new S New Generation kit based on the tuner’s own ABT Engine Control software, the S8’s output is increased to numbers that typically only supercars boast of these days.

ABT Sportsline also added its own muffler system to optimize the S8’s new output, which by the way is now up to a staggering 675 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque. That’s a huge increase from the S8’s standard 520 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque.

The German tuner also announced that the ABT-tuned S8 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds to go with a top speed of 180 mph. Any which way you look at it, those are supercar-like numbers.
