ABT Sportsline is here with yet another Audi build, this time taking the RS5 under its wings. The aftermarket company offers the car in a shiny, attention-greedy color with big 21-inch gold-finished wheels. The interior comes with a few premium add-ons, too. ABT has also upgraded the suspension setup. However, the highlight of the build is the extra oomph to make it a more powerful and quicker beast than it already is.

Exclusive builds like this one are highly customizable and generally cater to each buyer’s personal preference. However, ABT gave us a glimpse of an RS5 finished in Sonoma Green Metallic shade that screams for attention. The company has equipped its famous 21-inch ABT Sport GR wheels painted in a contrasting Racing Gold Matte shade.

The wheelhouse ventilation is finished in shiny black with carbon fin additions. At the rear, there’s an ABT spoiler that aids with keeping the car grounded at high speeds and adds to the aesthetics as well. To wrap the exterior changes, ABT has included fender badges finished in glossy black carbon fiber.

On the inside, the car comes with carbon elements in the seat shells, the seat frame covers, and the dashboard cover. For the shift knob cover and the steering wheel, ABT has made use of CFRP and fine leather.

How Does It Compare To The Stock Audi RS 5?

In stock form, the Audi RS5 comes with a 2.9-liter, twin-turbo six-cylinder engine under the hood that dishes out 444 horses and 442 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and Audi’s famed Quattro all-wheel-drive system. It takes 3.9 seconds to sprint to 62 mph from a standstill and has a top speed of 155 mph as standard, but can be unlocked up to 174 mph. The RS5 makes use of a five-link RS sport suspension setup at the front and rear, while the Dynamic Ride Control feature is optional. It rides on 19-inch, ten-spoke wheels wrapped in 265/35 section performance tires.

It makes 80 horses and 59 pound-feet of twist more than the German-spec 2020 RS5. The changes are not limited to tune-up. ABT has also equipped the RS5 with an additional water radiator kit and an air intake cover. Thanks to these changes, ABT has managed to shave three tenths of a second from its 0-62 mph time, now taking just 3.6 seconds when compared to the stock RS5’s 3.9 seconds. The top speed can be unlocked to 186 mph, provided the RS5 comes with ceramic brakes from the factory.

Furthermore, the tuner has equipped the RS5 with ABT height-adjustable suspension springs that can be lowered up to 25 mm, which is almost one inch. This setup, along with the ABT Sport anti-roll bars, makes the RS5 a fine corner carver at high speeds.

ABT hasn’t announced the price of this package, but don’t expect it to be cheap. In the States, the 2021 Audi RS5 starts at $75,100. Coupled with this package, expect the ABT RS5 to touch on a six-digit figure.
