ABT Sportsline has laid its hands on one of the hottest wagons yet again, the Audi RS6 Avant. This time around, it has come up with one of its finest creations called the ‘Johann Abt Signature Edition’. The German tuner is commemorating its 125th anniversary with this build. ABT will be making just 64 examples of the Johann Abt Signature Edition, which is an homage to the company’s founder who lived for 64 years.

The RS6 Johann Abt Signature Edition Makes Almost 200 Horses More Than The Standard RS6

The Audi RS6 is powered by the standard 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V-8 engine that’s equipped with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. In the stock form, it makes 591 horses and 590 pound-feet of torque, and takes 3.6 seconds to sprint to 60 mph from rest. Power is routed to all the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. It features a Sport Exhaust system, the robust grunt of which can be adjusted using the Audi drive select system.

ABT Sportsline has made some changes to this setup. By equipping an ECU, new larger intercoolers, and an oil cooling system, the wagon now cranks 790 horses and 723 pound-feet of twist. This is an increase of 199 horses and 133 pound-feet of torque.

The same gearbox is retained, but it is much quicker and faster now. The Johann Abt Signature Edition RS6 can sprint to 60 mph in just 2.91 seconds from a standstill. The top speed is rated at 205 mph. The wagon will take just 9.79 seconds to gallop from 0-124 mph, and 28.35 seconds to go all the way up to 300 mph from rest.

ABT is also debuting its new app on this build where you can track the live parameters such as current increased performance, additional torque, and a range of engine data.

The RS6 Johann Abt Signature Edition Features New Springs, Exhaust System, and Aero Package

The wagon is equipped with ABT height-adjustable suspension springs and anti-roll bars to reduce body roll. An aero package will be available, too. At the front, it features vents and a routing system that channels airflow to the cooling system and brakes. It also comes with a turbulence inducer that provides 331 pounds of extra downforce on the rear axle. A new ABT exhaust system has been equipped here that comes with four-inch matt black stainless steel tailpipes.

Is The Johann Abt Signature Edition RS6 Any Different On The Outside and Inside?

The wagon comes with a carbon structure that features Signature Carbon Red shade lining running throughout the vehicle. It comes with air inlets, a front lip, and a rear skirt that was developed specifically for this edition. As for the hottest part of any ABT build, this signature edition rides on 22-inch forged wheels that were also developed especially for this model. When compared to the standard wheels, each wheel here is 7.7 pounds lighter.

On the inside, the RS6 comes with matt black anodized aluminum time capsule, hand-sewn sport seats, leather-trimmed doors, and “Since 1896” lettering on the armrest and door sills. The same Signature Carbon Red theme continues here, too.

Final Thoughts

ABT hasn’t mentioned the price of this build, but given that it’s a celebration edition that also pays homage to its founder and a limited-production model, it’s going to cost a bomb. Perhaps, even twice as much as the price of the standard RS6. In the U.S., the Audi RS6 starts at $109,000. So, this one could cost you in the ballpark of $200,000.
