2022 ABT RS Q8 "Signature Edition"

The ABT RS Q8 "Signature Edition" will cost you a buttload of money... and then some more!

The last time ABT offered a "Signature Edition", it sold like hotcakes. We are talking about the Audi RS6 Johann Signature Edition that was limited to only 64 examples - as a tribute to the company’s founder who lived for 64 years.

Now, ABT is bringing the name back and it is now offering a new RS Q8 "Signature Edition" - based, on, of course, the Audi RS Q8. The package is offered to mark the company’s 125th anniversary and will be limited to only 96 copies.

What changes were made under the hood?

From the factory, the Audi RS Q8 is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 592 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque - impressive numbers for a luxury SUV, but still not as much as the models like the Lamborghini Urus that use the same engine.

ABT came with a solution to unlock more power. It started by changing the intercooler and the turbos, continued with remapping the engine’s ECU, and finished by adding a new stainless steel exhaust system with two double end pipes with a diameter of 105 millimeters.

After all these updates, the V-8 was tricked to deliver a total of 800 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to the extra power, the sprint from 0 to 60 mph goes down from 3.7 seconds to 3.2 seconds, while the top speed goes up from 189 mph to 196 mph.

What other changes are offered?

In true ABT spirit, the RS Q8 also received a new carbon fiber package that improves the aerodynamics and also optimizes the airflow. The package includes a new front lip and new front blades, front skirt inserts, front grille add-on, fender extensions, mirror caps, door strip attachments, plus a rear trim panel set that includes a rear skirt add-on and a new rear spoiler.

The car also rides on a new set of 23-inch wheels finished in gloss black and wrapped in 295/35 R23 tires.

As expected, carbon fiber is also the main theme of the interior. It has been used for the hood latch, the sides of the seats, the steering wheel clasp, and the back of the center console. ABT is also offering other exquisite materials such as Alcantara. The headrests are enriched with a cool ABT logo, while the RSQ8 Signature Edition lettering is embroidered in the shoulder area of the seats.

How much does it cost?

As you can imagine, the ABT RS Q8 "Signature Edition" doesn’t come cheap. The package alone is priced at €129,900 (about $137,000 at the current exchange rates), but when you add the price of the Audi RS Q8 you end up with a price of €316,480 (around $333,000 at the current exchange rates).

ABT will build only 96 copies - an allusion to ABT’s founding year of 1896.
