Lumma Design follows up its performance upgrade kit with this aesthetic kit

Back in 2020, Lumma Design offered its first tuning kit for the Audi RS Q8. Two years later, the tuner decided to revisit its kit and is now offering a facelift for its CLR 8 RS package. Since the first time it managed to squeeze more than 100 horsepower from the twin-turbocharged V-8 engine, it decided that the updates should only be limited to the car’s exterior look.

What’s different on the exterior?

The exterior kit is very extreme, but when compared to the one offered in 2020, the new kit looks a little bit more elegant and seems like it was tuned down.

All the new body components offered are available in visible carbon fiber and not only give the RS Q8 an even more aggressive look, but also help a lot with weight reduction. The process started by making the SUV about 60 millimeters wider thanks to new front and rear extensions. The upgrade continues with a redesigned front spoiler lip, cup spoiler sword, and a three-piece rear spoiler lip. A rear roof wing and a rear diffusor complete the exterior look.

The tuner is also offering a new set of 24-inch CLR 24 RS mega alloy wheels in Y-spokes design and sized 10.5x24” on the front axle and 13x24” on the rear axel. They guarantee a load of 970 kilos (2,138 pounds).

What does the CLR 8 RS package offers under the hood?

From the factory, the RS Q8 is offered with a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine that makes 591 horsepower and 591 pound-feet of torque. As we said, when compared to the previous version of the CLR 8 RS, the new upgrade brought no updates under the hood.

This means the 2022 CLR 8 RS will offer the same power as the 2021 CLR 8 RS - 705 horsepower and 671 pound-feet of torque. There is also a new sports exhaust system with four end pipes offered in either black or carbon that improves considerably the sound of the V-8 engine.

There are no words on how these updates improved the SUV’s performance figures, but from the factory, it goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and up to a top speed of 189 mph.

There is no word on how much the new Lumma CLR 8 RS costs, but the previous kit was priced at €38,000 (about $42,000 at the current exchange rates) plus taxes.
