The 2016 Consumer Electronics Show->ke3008 is already upon us and we've already seen a bunch of cool concepts and car tech. From the BMW i8 Mirrorless Concept and Volkswagen BUDD-e to FCA's fourth-gen Uconnect and Ford's upgraded SYNC system, this year's CES has everything an automotive nerd wants to see at such an event. However, among the state-of-the-art technology->ke1701 and futuristic cars that may be put in production at some point, CES also showcases more down-to-earth vehicles. Such a product is this bespoke Bentley Continental GT built by Mulliner in cooperation with audio equipment manufacturer Monster Inc.

Suggestively dubbed "Monster by Mulliner," this custom coupe brings together the performance credentials you get with a Continental GT V8 S->ke3108 and a state-of-the-art audio system crafted by Monster. Also, it features a bespoke interior with a stunning color scheme, special Mulliner seats, and even a 24-carat gold wireless headphone. Though it might not be the most technologically advance vehicle at CES, this Bentley->ke15 is definitely the fanciest.

"Monster is proud to collaborate with Bentley on bringing the sound and look of a Monster ride to those who want something bold and different," said Noel Lee, head of Monster Inc. "With our Pure Monster Sound system, the drive will be truly incredible and brings a new level of excitement to the driving experience. That’s why this collaboration for the Continental GT V8 S is such a perfect fit. Our Monster motto ‘Always Lead Never Follow’ has never been more appropriately applied than in association with this impeccably designed automobile."

What makes the Bentley "Monster by Mulliner" Continental GT special

The highlight of the Continental GT "Monster by Mulliner" is arguably its interior, where customers looking for a premium sound system will find a bespoke audio unit specifically developed for this coupe. Not available in any other vehicle on the market, the custom sound system includes 16 speakers, which were personally tuned by Noel Lee, that deliver 3,400 watts for the most exhilarating musical experience behind the wheel. Besides the audio system, the interior is also finished in a distinctive Monster color scheme of red and black, Beluga hide, and Piano Black inserts.

Mulliner also created a unique 3D laser-etched fascia panel based on the Monster logo, as well as Monster motto: “Always Lead, Never Follow” and “Monster by Mulliner” embroidery on the headrests. Rounding off the cabin are a pair of GT Design seats by Mulliner and a special compartment that houses Monster’s newest 24-carat gold wireless headphone.

The exterior is rather subdued compared to the interior, but it also features a unique combination of paints and parts. Finished in a glossy shade of black that Bentley calls Onyx, the body is highlighted by Hotspur red accents on the front splitter, side skirts, and radiator grille. The sporty, six-spoke wheels have a polished, gloss black finish and hide massive red brake calipers. Finally, the black hood vents have also been customized for a distinctive look.

Under the hood, the coupe sports the same engine as the standard model. That's far from surprising though, as Mulliner doesn't meddle with underpinnings. That's not an issue though, as the GT V8 S is motivated by a twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V-8 that cranks out no fewer than 521 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque. Routed to the wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission, all that oomph enables the coupe to hit 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds to go with a top speed of 192 mph.

Bentley has yet to announce pricing for this bespoke model, but don't expect it to be cheap. With the standard model retailing from around $215,000, the "Monster by Mulliner" will probably fetch in excess of $250,000 before options.
