The 2021 Bentley Continental GT Mulliner is a special-edition version of the Continental GT. As the name suggests, the coupe has been customized by Mulliner, the company's bespoke division. Although it doesn't look very different compared to the standard model, the Mulliner model stands out through numerous exclusive features inside and out. Designed for customers who want an even greater focus on customization, the 2021 Continental GT Mulliner is basically the range-topping version of the current luxury coupe. Engine choices are similar to the regular model, so you get to choose between the gasoline V-8 and W-12 mills. Let's find out more about it in the review below.

What makes the 2021 Bentley Continental GT Mulliner special?

- "diamond" two-tone grille - unique 22-inch wheels - darker exterior chrome - Mulliner badges - Three-tone upholstery - diamond-in-diamond quilting - floor mats with micro-piping - authentic wood trim - Breitling clock - Unique instrument cluster - Bespoke key box - standard Continental GT engines - 4.0-liter V-8 - 6.0-liter V-12

Design-wise, the Mulliner model is actually identical to the regular model save for some unique trim. Just like Continental GTC Mulliner, revealed for the 2020 model year, the Mulliner coupe comes with a double diamond matrix grille inspired by the diamond-in-diamond interior quilting. The result is a finer mesh with a two-tone, silver-and-black finish, but you'll have to look really close to tell it apart from the regular grille. But needless to say, it a cool alternative next to the plain chrome and plain black options you have with other Conti GT models.

Onto the sides, the small vents on the lower front fenders feature the same layout and finish as the main grille, alongside "Mulliner" lettering. The mirror caps are finished in satin silver and include Mulliner welcome lamps underneath. Bentley also ditched the regular wheels, replacing them with 22-inch rims with a 10-spoke design. They feature a polish design that unique to Mulliner models, while the rims also fitted with Bentley's self-leveling badges that remain in an upright position when the wheel rotates. In the back, the darker chrome around the taillights is the only detail that sets the Mulliner apart from the regular Continental GT.

Finally, the "Mulliner" badge will give you access to an extended exterior color palette that includes 61 colors. But if you're not happy with what's on offer, Mulliner will gladly create a bespoke color by matching it to any item or sample you have.

Bentley Mulliner Interior Design

Open the door, and you'll immediately see the illuminated door sills with "Mulliner" lettering. But you definitely won't miss the unique color split of the upholstery, in a new combination of primary and secondary hide joined by a third color through a flowing design line. The presentation model combines black and cream as primary and secondary colors, while the detailing around the door panels and the dashboard are finished in light brown. An additional seven combinations are available.

The seats also feature unique upholstery with diamond-in-diamond quilting. You'll find the same texture on the door panels and rear quarter panel, with both contrast and accent stitching through the diamonds. Developing the embroidery process for this type of upholstery took no fewer than 18 months.

Other unique goodies include embroidered Mulliner logos on the headrests, floor mats with micro-piping to match the color theme, a roof trimmed in smooth hide that matches the seatbacks, and a center console in a new diamond milled finish, flanked by Grand Black walnut veneer with chrome overlays.

Bentley also created a unique design to the instrument cluster gauges by using skeuomorphic design and the application of digital textures to make the virtual dials look like real metal. The options list is quite long on Mulliner models and includes a range of 88 veneer finishes that can be matched to the interior or exterior of the car, as well as Burr walnut veneer that is hand-sanded and polished to produce a perfectly smooth finish before painting to match the color of your choice.

When taking delivery of the car, you will receive the keys in a bespoke, Mulliner-branded, and handcrafted presentation box containing individual leather pouches matching the three-color interior configuration of the car.

The twin-turbo W-12 cranks out a massive 626 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. It mates to an eight-speed automatic transmission and enables the Conti GT to hit 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 207 mph. The 4.0-liter V-8, also a twin-turbo, generates 542 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of twist. Paired to a similar gearbox, it enables the coupe to hit 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 198 mph.

Pricing information for the Continental GT Mulliner is not yet available, but it should be notably more expensive than the regular version. The base Conti GT comes in at $205,225, so the Mullinerized version will probably fetch at least $250,000 before options.
