Bentley and Mulliner recently came up with the Equinox Edition for the Continental GT V-8. The Equinox Edition will be exclusively sold in Japan. The luxury sedan comes with a whole lot of aesthetic changes on the outside as well as the inside. It continues to be powered by the automaker’s new 4.0-liter V-8 mill that makes over 500 horses and 500 pound-feet of torque. The automaker hasn’t revealed the price of the Equinox Edition, but it will build just 10 examples of it.

What’s Special About The Bentley Continental GT V-8 Equinox Edition

On the outside, it looks quite different from the standard model. The Equinox Edition ditches all the chrome in favor of black finishes for a sporty appearance. Bentley is offering it only in two monochromatic exterior shades – Black Onyx and Icy Cool Glacier White. It comes equipped with the company’s aero package which includes:

-* Front Splitter

-* Rear Diffuser

-* Boot Lip Spoiler

-* Side Sills

The side sills come with metal Bentley Wings inlays. All these additions are finished in high gloss, black carbon fiber. Mulliner has further applied a silver pinstripe which it calls ‘Moonbeam’ on the edge of these carbon fiber pieces for a contrasting finish. To wrap up the changes on the outside, the automaker has equipped the Continental GT Equinox Edition with 22-inch wheels finished in dark metallic Tungsten paint.

The car comes with silver accent hide on the headrest and seat edge panels while Beluga leather is used elsewhere, including the diamond-quilted seats. Contrast silver stitching is done on the seats and the steering wheel and dual-finish Piano Moonbeam over Grand Black veneers are also present. Apart from this, the Equinox Edition comes with mood lighting, illuminated sill plates, and Mulliner floor mats.

Powering the Continental GT V-8 Equinox Edition is the company’s eight-pot, twin-turbo mill that displaces at four liters. It churns out 542 ponies and 568 pound-feet of twist. Power hits the ground via an eight-speed automatic gearbox that helps the car propel to 60 mph from rest in just 3.9 seconds. The top speed is rated at 198 mph. For the sake of efficiency, the engine deactivates four of its cylinders when you’re driving sedately. All of them can be engaged within 20 milliseconds should you suddenly feel the adrenaline rush to floor the A-pedal.
