The electrification process has taken over the world by storm. From smallest of hatches, to the marques, every automaker is electrifying its range. Bentley has been vocal about its electrification ambitions, and plans to offer a hybrid version on all its models. Recently, the Bentley Continental GT was spotted in its Hybrid avatar. Even though it looks just like the regular Continental GT, the additional charging port in the rear left fender was the giveaway.

No Other Prominent Difference

The regular Continental GT has just one fuel cap on the right fender, but this had one on the left fender as well. Perhaps, a little meet-and-greet with the car will tell us the exact reason for the same.

One Engine For All The Family Members

Incidentally, the same system already powers the Bentley Bentayga as well. The Bentayga Hybrid is offered with a 3.0-liter, turbocharged, V-6 engine and an electric motor that’s capable of running 31 miles purely on electric energy. In the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, the very same engine churns out 680 ponies and 627 pound-feet of torque, and the Panamera E-Hybrid delivers 462 ponies and 516 pound-feet of torque.

Given the Continental GT’s standing, it could get the strongest hybrid setup possible. Will this succeed on the market? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
