Chris Harris Returns to Racing with Bentley
Although he is mostly famous for his cool car reviews and entertaining videos, Chris Harris is also a racing driver. And a pretty good one if I might add, having driven a wide variety of race cars, including the Porsche 911 Carrera Cup and Aston Martin Vantage GT12, and having scored a fourth place finish at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring in 2010. His last major event, the 2015 24 Hours of Nurburgring, didn’t end well, as Harris had to retire, but the British journalist isn’t giving up and will return to the race track in 2016.
This time around, Harris will drive a Bentley Continental GT3 in the Blancpain Endurance Series Cup. Chris has joined Parker Racing, a team he has previously raced for, and will compete in all five rounds for the 2016 season in the Am Cup class, a division for amateur racers. Harris will team up with Chris Cooper and Derek Pierce against stiff competition from teams using cars like the Audi R8 LMS, Ferrari 458 GT3, and Porsche 911 GT3-R.
The new Top Gear host will pilot one of the four Continental GT3s competing in this year’s Blancpain Endurance Series Cup.
"This is a bit of a pinch yourself moment,” he commented. “If, last year, you’d asked me what my dream 2016 race season would be it would have involved a Bentley Continental GT3, Stuart Parker and my good friend and long-time team mate Chris Cooper. And now it’s happened! The GT3 category is the most interesting, varied form of circuit racing out there and I think that with Chris [Cooper] and Derek Pierce we have a very good team to attack the Am championship. I just need to remember that the big oversteer is for the Top Gear cameras, not the race track."
Harris’ debut race with Bentley takes place on April 24th at the 3 Hours of Monza. The season includes four more races: 3 Hours of Silverstone (May 15), 1000k at Paul Ricard (June 25), 24 Hours of Spa (July 30), and 3 Hours of Nurburgring (September 18).

Initially viewed with a bit of justifiable side-eye, Bentley’s first SUV is off to an extremely promising start. The production version just debuted at Frankfurt, and it’s better-looking than anticipated. The first year’s production run has already sold out. And best of all, it’s already got the approval of the highest authority in Britain: the first 2017 Bentley Bentayga is slated to be delivered to none other than Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The royal family has traditionally used Land Rovers for its rough-road needs, but Bentayga #001 will be shipped to Balmoral, Scotland for use in hunting expeditions, according to Michael Winkler, Bentley’s North American CEO, in an interview with Bloomberg.
Bentley’s no stranger to providing royal vehicles. The current purpose-built 2002 Bentley State Limousine is based on the Arnage chassis and has served the royal family since 2002.
Bentley has the capacity to produce 3,000 to 4,500 Bentaygas annually, and is currently holding deposits for 3,600 vehicles. If you’re hoping to get a 2017 model, MSRPs start at $229,100. It’s the most expensive SUV sold in North America.

The Queen of England may not have the power that she once had, but she certainly remains a powerful figure in the hearts of all British folks. On June 2, 2012 the Queen celebrated her 60th year on the throne, which brought about a celebration dubbed the Diamond Jubilee – “Diamond” indicates 60 years, for those wondering.
In the festivities, the Queen was spotted riding around in a rather luxurious automobile that one of our readers keenly pointed out is either a Rolls-Royce or Bentley, and he turned to us for help identifying the car and telling him a little about it. Figuring he is not the only person interested in the topic, we felt that a full-on review was in order.
As it turns out, after a good amount of research, we have found out that the queen traveled around in the Jubilee in a 2002 Bentley State Limousine. This is no typical Bentley limo either, as it is fit for a… Well, Queen, of course!

In recent times Bentley has found the most success through its Continental GT model. It has become an icon of wealth and prestige with everyone from musical artists to major league sports stars. The car became so popular that in some instances it doesn’t even seem that special anymore. Bentley helped to keep things fresh by introducing the Speed models, but in order to truly stand out customization is needed. One such baseball athlete has just received one of the most unique Bentleys we have ever seen thanks to a tuning shop in Miami, Florida.
The MC Customs shop in collaboration with Savini wheels has come together to make the most aggressive Bentley on the streets for MLB pitcher Carlos Silva. The first thing the company did was add a widebody kit to the car. It included a lower front fascia with revised air inlets on the wheel arches that gives the car a stance close to the ground. On the sides, lower rocker panels flow into large vents placed in front of the rear wheels. Taking a page out of Cadillac’s playbook is the central exhaust pipes finished in rectangular chrome tips. MC Customs also included a rear wing that flows with the contours on the hood of the trunk and rear fender panels. It fits in with the elegant shape of the Bentley more than most standard wings would.

Oh, those rock stars. They think they can get away with just about anything and expect no repercussions for their actions. Running rebels, are ya?
Well, one company isn’t letting the name of one iconic rock and roller from filing a lawsuit against the aforementioned star and now resident douche.
Bentley isn’t at all happy with Guns N’ Roses leadman, Axl Rose, for his direct involvement in turning a leased Continental Flying Spur from an exquisite luxury car to a destroyed heap on four wheels. Bentley Financials filed the suit seeking for payment to the damages done to the car that included, among other things, a cracked windshield, scratched wheels and trims, dented doors, gouged bumper cover, and even a missing remote key. And that’s not even getting into the part where he exceeded the car’s mileage limit by 42,000 miles.
As a result of the trashing, Bentley is requiring Mr. Guns N’ Roses to fork over $74,000 for all the damage he did to the car.
It’s one thing to go bonkers and trash a hotel room with your groupies, but for the love of God, you never, ever, destroy a car as awesome as a Bentley Continental Flying Spur. Shame on you, Axl Rose.
Time and time again the old adage that “you can’t buy taste” is all too evident in the world of high end customizing, and while the Beatles used to sing “Can’t buy me love” it appears that English Premier League soccer star Stephen Ireland is trying to dispel that with his girlfriend Jessica Lawlor’s 24th birthday present, an extensively modified Bentley Continental GTC. He got the idea after Jessica jokingly suggested that he get her something in the style of Pimp-My-Ride to match Stephen’s blue accented Audi R8. The 23 year old midfielder kept the entire ordeal a secret from almost everyone, especially Jessica who was simply stunned when she received her gift.
The modified 200 MPH drop top is full of special details that make this Bentley truly unique. Stephen had the flying B on the hood of the car replaced with a J and even the two tone deep dished rims have Jessica’s initials panted on them. On the inside Stephen went the extra step and had an oversized heart stitched into the red headrest with the message “To Jess Love From Stephen” monogrammed inside. Despite the extreme lack of a taste and absence of style, Jessica is absolutely delighted with her birthday gift, after all what 24 year old female wouldn’t.
Although the Bentley Continental GTC underwent £264,000 worth of modifications, the mighty 6.0 Liter W12 was left alone and still produces a maximum output of 552 HP and is capable of accelerating the all wheel drive grand touring car from 0 to 60 MPH in just 4.8 seconds and keep on going all the way up to a top speed of 198 MPH.
BMW had their Art Cars and Mini has specialty celebrity designed automobiles, but Bentley decided to take things a step further and recruit contemporary artist Romero Britto to create the centerpiece for their “Come to my world” exhibition in Germany. The English automaker provided Mr. Britto with a Continental GT as a canvas, prepared with a Bentley Blue base coat for the South Florida artist to get to work.
The car is covered in colorful, comic-like figures featuring a large multi colored flower on the hood, winged heart on the driver’s door, ladybug inspired door mirrors and a few orange and purple stars. The negative space is covered with Britto’s recognizable signature, similar to the mathematical symbol for pi; it is consists of a “T” followed by a squiggly line that sometimes goes down like a backwards “J” and other times is just a continuation of the character before it. The entire feeling of this piece of 200 MPH artwork is that it is as playful as the GT is fun to drive.

Yes, that is Paris Hilton, and no, this is not the E! Channel. It seems Hilton wanted to but herself a Christmas gift, so she bought a $175,000 Bentley Continental GT and then added $25,000 worth of custom bits to it. This offense to good taste was assembled by West Coast Customs, who seem to still be catering to the more-money-than-brains crowd after losing the "Pimp My Ride" gig.
Someone needs to regulate the amount of pink paint that is available out there. We’ve seen other good cars gone soft, like a Pink Pagani Zondaand a Pink Bugatti Veyron. Then again, if someone this attention hungry wants to buy a sedate British coupe, this may be a good thing. Sort of like a big pink warning sign to others.
The Bentley Continental looks amazing from the start, but in this "murder red" Candy paint job it is simply amazing! The car is own by Ice T, and after few weeks of work it is finally "on the road again!"
The paint job was made by Merzees, and we have to admit they done an incredible job!
The "Murder Red" Continental will be presented this year at the SEMA Show, but more details will follow by then. Stay tuned!
Even if you like boxing or not, for sure you know who Mike Tyson is. What you might not know is that he owned a 1999 Bentley Continental SC, a model limited to only 73 units. When new, the car was priced at more than £250,000.
Mike Tyson is one of the world’s most controversial sportsman of all time famed for making headlines out of the ring as much as inside. Twice world heavyweight champion of the world, Tyson was worth more than £150 million at one stage, but was declared bankrupt in 2003.
The 41-year old hit the headlines recently after claims he’s going to step back into the ring in a bout against fellow veteran Evander Holyfield – whose ear he famously bit in a 1997 fight. And for a man who had a tiger for a pet, you’d expect him to have a flash car collection – so step forward his old Bentley Continental SC.
The Continental SC is powered by a 6.75-litre V8 engine that delivers 420bhp and 590lb/ft and was the most powerful Bentley ever at the time and accelerated from 0-60mph in six seconds and on to a top speed of 155mph.
The Mike Tyson’s old Bentley is available for £135,000.
A Bentley T, to be specific.
Though it is little known to those who have acquaintance with James Bond only through movies, Bond was a Bentley man. He originally drove a Bentley in Ian Fleming’s very first Bond novel, Casino Royale. The Aston Martin most often associated with Bond didn’t appear until later, and is explained as an upgrade from the older Bentley, which was Bond’s personal car, described in Casino Royale as his only real “hobby.”
Now there is a new Bond book, this (...)

PartyPoker, the world’s largest online poker room, are offering Paris Hilton the chance to win her $178,000 (GBP100,000) Bentley back after reports she lost it in a game of poker at her family’s casino in Las Vegas.
PartyPoker spokesman Warren Lush said: "It is a simple deal for the Simple Life star. If she goes heads-up online in a no limit Texas Hold’em challenge against poker legend Mike Sexton and wins we’ll hand her the keys to a brand spanking new Bentley. Forget one night in Paris, (...)
Paris Hilton may have more money than sense but she is still likely to rather unhappy about losing her prized motor during a game of poker.
The hotel heiress bet her Bentley on an ill-fated hand during a session at the family casino in Las Vegas.
"I’m obsessed with poker," the 25-year-old Hilton admitted. "It’s my favourite game. I’m really lucky in Vegas, I always win."
Well, not that lucky it seems.
And it appears all bets are off on the chances of her winning her (...)
