2020 Bentley Mulsanne 6.75 Edition

2020 Bentley Mulsanne 6.75 Edition

The British automaker is saying goodbye to its flagship model the only way it knows how

Bentley is bidding adieu to the Mulsanne luxury sedan in the most fitting way possible. The British automaker is launching a special edition Mulsanne called the 6.75 Edition. Only 30 units of the Mulsanne 6.75 Edition and, in keeping with Bentley’s tradition of dressing up its special edition models to the nines, the limited-run Mulsanne comes with enough exclusive touches in the exterior and interior to justify its special edition billing.

Bentley hasn’t announced a release timetable for the Mulsanne 6.75, but with the Mulsanne’s production run ending this year, expect the 6.75 Edition to arrive within the year.

2020 Bentley Flying Spur First Edition

The first model of the special edition Flying Spur will be auctioned off for charity

The arrival of the 2020 Bentley Flying Spur is going to make a lot of bank accounts bleed, but just before the luxury sedan hits the market in full swing, Bentley’s rolling out the Flying Spur First Edition, a special edition model based on, well, the 2020 Flying Spur. The first example of the Flying Spur First Edition will not go on sale. Instead, it will be auctioned off at the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s inaugural ball, called the “Midsummer Party,” on July 24 at Jean Pogizzi’s Villa Dorane in Cap d’Antibes, a resort town between Cannes and Nice on the French Riviera. All proceeds from the auction will go to the EJAF. As for the rest of the Flying Spur First Editions, Bentley will only sell it in the first-year production of the Flying Spur. Best be quick if you want to get your hands on one.

The 2020 Bentley Flying Spur has a Crazy Top Speed And a Secret Weapon Against Cornering

The Third-generation Bentley Flying Spur is faster and flashier than ever, but not too flashy

Bentley has just pulled the digital wraps off the third incarnation of its Flying Spur sedan, the four-door sibling to the Continental GT coupe. This latest model has a more athletic looking body, emphasized by more muscular rear flanks. It’s also longer, more spacious and comfortable for passengers, and even better to drive than the model it replaces.

It features several technical innovations, like the first ever retractable Flying B hood mascot, but also rear-wheel steering and additional active and passive safety aids. Its 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine has also been reworked to produce more power and torque. In the near future, the model will also be made available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain and a twin-turbo V-8.

The Apocalypse-Dominating Bentley Bentayga Bengala is Just Downright Mean

The Apocalypse-Dominating Bentley Bentayga Bengala is Just Downright Mean

You’re going to want to own one of these when Armageddon goes down

The Bentley Bentayga is supposed to be a luxury SUV, unlike any other. It’s still that for the most part, but the Bentayga apparently has a dark and sinister side that’s waiting to be unlocked. Turns out, Spanish design house Bengala Automotive Design SL, with the help of an unidentified Spanish off-road rally champion and his team, has a key to that lock, and it did more than just unlock the Bentayga’s mean mug. It unleashed a tank-like monstrosity known as the Bentley Bentayga Bengala. Only 15 units of the Bentley Bentayga Bengala will be made. Each model will be made to the exact specification of the owner, so it’s unlikely that we’ll see two exact-spec Bengala units. There is no word on how much a unit will cost. Given the limited and custom-centric nature of the Bengala, we can at least expect a unit to cost a hell of a lot more than the Bentayga’s $195,000 base price.

Bentley Just Teased the New Flying Spur and We’re Beyond Intrigued

The exquisite Flying B will sit on the most manly looking Flying Spur to date

Two years on from the unveiling of the third-generation Continental GT, Bentley is doing the groundwork before presenting to the world its majestically brutal Continental GT with two bonus doors, otherwise known as the Flying Spur. So far, the British manufacturer has only released a vague teaser image showing the car’s silhouette, and now we’re seeing its retractable hood ornament in detail. Will the Rolls-Royce Ghost be schooled by the new Bentley?

Bentley and Rolls-Royce used to be two birds of a feather merely a couple of decades ago but, since they ended up under different ownership in the early ’00s, Britain’s two top luxury brands have arguably taken two different routes. Bentley, soaking in all of its sporting credentials and a rich motorsport heritage, specialized in brisk sedans and sumptuous grand tourers while Rolls-Royce decided to stay true to its own heritage and kept putting out full-size sedans that abounded in lavish materials and state-of-the-art equipment while more recently tapping into the niche of limited-edition models. The two brands are, as such, quite different in their image now but the upcoming Flying Spur will still have to worry about whatever Rolls-Royce is doing with the Ghost because, as you know, a new Ghost is on the way as well.

2019 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid

2019 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid

It’s the company’s first hybrid vehicle!

The 2019 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid is the electrified version of the company’s first SUV. It’s also Bentley’s first hybrid ever, as well as the world’s first luxury SUV with an electric motor. The Bentayga Hybrid joins the original 2017 Bentayga with the W-12 engine that Bentley unveiled in 2015, as well as the V-8 and diesel variants that the British firm launched since 2017.

The Bentayga Hybrid is virtually identical to the regular SUV inside and out. The exterior features an additional "fuel" cap for the plug-in socket, while the interior includes new tech and a revised infotainment system for hybrid duty. Things are notably different under the skin though, where the familiar W-12 and V-8 engines were replaced with a V-6 and an electric motor. The layout is similar to that in the Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid. Let’s find out more about this electrified SUV in the review below.

2019 Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid

2019 Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid

Bentley second hybrid takes the ultra-luxury market all for itself

The Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid is an upcoming plug-in hybrid version of the company’s full-size sedan. The four-door follows in the footsteps of the Bentayga Hybrid, Bentley’s first-ever electrified model, which was unveiled in 2018. The Flying Spur Hybrid is part of the third-generation model lineup that should debut by the end of 2019.

Spotted testing with a Porsche Panamera body in 2017, the Flying Spur began making appearances in its camouflaged production shell in 2018. Come 2019, and the sedan is slowly losing camo, but Bentley is also testing new versions. Our paparazzi caught a batch of Flying Spurs testing on public roads in April 2019, including a plug-in hybrid version. Let’s find out what we already know about it in the speculative review below.

2019 Bentley Bentayga V8 Design Series

2019 Bentley Bentayga V8 Design Series

It combines exclusive Mulliner features with extra standard equipment

The Bentley Bentayga V8 Design Series is a special-edition version of the luxury SUV. As an appearance package, Design Series combined new features designed by the Mulliner division with a range of existing options. Bentley says it’s "a contemporary styled and visually dynamic version of the world’s most luxurious SUV," although the Design Series isn’t a major departure from the standard Bentayga.

Although the British SUV is available with two gasoline engine, a diesel, and a hybrid, the Design Series is restricted to just one drivetrain. As the name suggests, it only comes with the 4.0-liter V-8, which is the entry-level model in terms of pricing. There’s no word as to how many will be built, but it probably won’t be around for too long.

2020 Bentley Bentayga Speed

2020 Bentley Bentayga Speed

The world’s fastest production SUV (sort of)

The Bentley Bentayga Speed is the range-topping version of the company’s first-ever SUV. Launched in early 2019, it joins the standard gas model, the diesel, and the hybrid versions of the British hauler. The Speed badge is borrowed from the Continental GT, which Bentley introduced for the first time back in 2008. Just like the Continental GT Speed, the Bentayga Speed is a slightly beefed-up version of the regular model. It’s also equipped with unique features, while some of the Bentayga’s usual options are offered as standard. However, the Speed is only marginally more powerful than the Bentayga, which prevents Bentley from having a full-fledged competitor for the Lamborghini Urus. Still, it’s the company’s most powerful SUV yet, and it’s also one of only two production SUVs that can hit 190 mph.

Update 3/12/2019:We’ve updated this review with fresh images of the 2019 Bentley Bentayga Speed that we took during the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Check them out in the gallery at the bottom of the page!

Bentley Launches The 2019 Bentayga Speed At Geneva and It's Faster Than The Urus

Bentley Launches The 2019 Bentayga Speed At Geneva and It’s Faster Than The Urus

Bentley decided it would be a good idea to take over the crown as the maker of the fastest SUV in the world in the year of its centenary

Bentley’s first SUV just became more powerful and faster although you won’t notice it that quickly when you look at the exterior of the new Bentayga Speed. Underneath the pretty bronze exterior, there’s a 626 horsepower 6.0-liter, twin-turbocharged, W-12 behemoth that helps the not-so-pretty beast reach 190 mph and a bit. That bit is one 1 km/h more than the Urus and this allows Bentley to take home all the bragging rights for now.

We are well accustomed to automakers goosing it out over who makes the fastest supercar but we’re now seeing this trend awkwardly trickle down to big SUVs. Porsche’s Cayenne Turbo was, arguably, the first modern SUV that packed a decent punch but many have followed in its wake with Lamborghini dropping the first Super-SUV ever (as they call it) with the Urus. Let’s see if Lamborghini responds with a peppered-up Urus or not, considering both companies are under the VAG umbrella.

The 2020 Bentley Bentayga Speed Comes To Conquer The Title Of World’s Fastest SUV

It’s not as powerful as the Lamborghini Urus though

It’s been more than three years since Bentley introduced the Bentayga, its first-ever SUV, and the highly anticipated Speed model is here to boost the nameplate’s performance pedigree even further. The first Bentley SUV to carry the badge taken from the Continental, the Bentayga Speed is the quickest, fastest, and more capable British hauler yet.

There’s a Bentley Bentayga Speed in the Works and It’s Going to be Lambortastic

The British automaker wants to take on its Italian cousin in a family banter

Volkswagen has done this before as well, and it is doing it again. This time, the automaker is pitting two of its most esteemed marques against each other. Bentley is working on the Bentayga Speed, and it might be just as powerful as the Lamborghini Urus. Won’t this hurt Lamborghini’s sales? Maybe, but if you look at it from the bigger picture, it is the VW group at the end of the day that’s benefiting.

Believe it or Not, Bentley is Struggling to Compete with Tesla and Porsche

Believe it or Not, Bentley is Struggling to Compete with Tesla and Porsche

Bentley better come up with a solution before succumbing to pressure and even losing its current crop of customers

Losing customers to your segment rivals is one thing, but losing them to brands from a segment below kind of hurts. This is what Bentley is going through now. The automaker has admitted to losing customers to Porsche and Tesla. When people compare apples and oranges, you can’t really do anything about it, right?

1963 Bentley S3 Saloon

1963 Bentley S3 Saloon

The final body-on-chassis model from Bentley

The Bentley S3 Saloon, along with the Rolls-Royce Phantom V, represented the standard of luxury in Europe. The S3 marked the end of an era as it was the last production luxury sedan from Bentley with body-on-frame construction.

The Bentley S3 was the last model of British manufacturer’s S Series which was in production for a decade. The S3 replaced the S2 in 1962 and, in turn, was replaced by 1965 with the T-Series Bentley that was also a close relative to the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. The S Series came as a replacement for the antiquated R Type which had been in production since shortly after the war but was largely based on pre-war designs.

The S3 is, thus, the last of the truly classic Bentleys, so it’s only fitting that the car is one of the most elegant ever to come out with the Flying B on the hood. Performance is not that relevant on such a car but what matters, the comfort of the ride, is there aplenty. You won’t feel a bump in the road aboard the S3 even if you want to.

Bentley Bentayga smashes SUV record at Pikes Peak

Bentley has been on fire lately with the Bentayga, and it looks like the Bentayga is starting to show who the real monster is!
