The third-generation BMW X5 is finally getting its aftermarket dues. Kelleners Sport gets the credit for this impressive program, blending some aerodynamic goodies with new wheels and an extensive engine update.

It’s hard to downplay how important these kits are for SUVs like the X5. For the most part, tuners can only go so far with installing new components on these types of models. What’s more important is how tuners are able to improve on the performance end, which really is the heart of every tuning program. Kelleners Sport achieved that, thanks to a variety of engine kits designed to give various trims of the X5 the extra oomph some owners need.

This is by no means the most impressive kit we’ve seen on a BMW X5, but when it comes to offering a comprehensive list of upgrades on all sections of the SUV, Kelleners Sport did a pretty good job of checking off many items on that list.

For the third-gen X5, Kelleners Sport is offering a handful of performance modules developed for the gas and diesel options on the SUV. The KS Diesel Power 30 module is reserved for the xDrive30d, making it more responsive to the tune of 302 horsepower and 483 pound-feet of torque. That’s a sizable bump from the standard model’s output of 258 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque.

Meanwhile, the xDrive35i receives the KS Power 35 module, resulting in an increased output of 358 horsepower and 345 pound-feet of torque. Again, those are significant improvements from the 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque of the standard model.

Then there’s the top-of-the-line xDrive50i. This top-grade trim gets the KS Power 50 module, netting an output of 527 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque. The hefty increase is evident from the get-go considering that the standard X5 xDrive50i generates 450 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque.

While the engine upgrades are the unquestioned highlight of Kelleners Sport’s take on the third-gen BMW X5, we can’t just dismiss the work the tuner put in developing a wide-body kit that suits the look of the SUV.

The front spoiler extension and the integrated lip spoiler enhance the front of the X5. The same can be said for the front and rear wheel-arch extensions, and the RS rear skirt extension.

For vanity purposes, Kelleners Sport is also offering a license-plate holder, chrome letters, and anthracite stickers.

Kelleners Sport also gave the X5 a new set of either matte-black or polished, matte-black wheels. The tuner describes them as “Frankfurt-style,” we assume to be a way of saying that these wheels are “auto show-caliber."

They measure 22 inches and are wrapped in high-performance tires, making for an imposing and menacing look that blends well with the wide-body kit.

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read More

The KS Diesel Power 30 module developed by Kelleners Sport makes the X5 xDrive30d even more responsive. After fitting, the six-cylinder power plant produces 302 hp / 222 kW (standard: 258 hp /190 kW) and a maximum torque of 655 Nm (standard: 560 Nm).

The KS Power 35 module is tailored perfectly to the xDrive35i and boosts the output of the in-line six from 306 hp / 225 kW to 358 hp / 263 kW with maximum torque of 468 Nm (standard: 400 Nm).

There’s more power available for the top-of-the range, eight-cylinder BMW Twin Power Turbo engine of the xDrive50i, too. The petrol-driven SUV with the KS Power 50 module generates no less than 527 hp / 386 kW with maximum torque of 761 Nm. The standard model generates 450 hp / 330 kW with maximum torque of 650 Nm.

A wide-body kit gives the new X5 an even more dominant appearance. The aerodynamic package is made of PU RIM and is distinguished by very high quality and perfect fitting accuracy. Available for immediate delivery, the wide-body kit consists of a front spoiler extension with integrated spoiler lip, front and rear wheel-arch extensions and the RS rear skirt extension. All parts can be fitted quickly and cost-efficiently and come with a TUV approval. The chrome letters, licence-plate holder and anthracite sticker identify the customised BMW as a member of the Kelleners Sport family.

Additionally, Kelleners Sport offers striking oval-shape stainless-steel tailpipes with a diameter of 106 x 71 mm. Fitted on both sides, they underscore the sporting rear view.

The sports spring set available for the X5 is also characterised by a successful combination of sporting handling and comfort by lowering the SUV by up to 30 mm at the front and rear. The sports spring set is available for cars with and without a level-control system. The product range also includes a coilover suspension system for especially discerning drivers.

Matt black and polished matt black wheels are also available for the X5. These ‘Frankfurt’ style wheels come in the dimension 10.0 x 22” ET 40 and are fitted with 295/30 ZR 22 high-performance tyres. More wheel designs and dimensions are in preparation.
