For those fortunate enough to enjoy it, the world of yachting seems like a fantastic place to spend some time. Deep, blue water below, a bright, warm sun above, and a cool breeze in between – sounds pleasant, no? It’s this sort of lifestyle that Bimmer is aiming to capture with its latest one-off, the BMW Individual M760Li Inspired By Nautor’s Swan. Cue the Bossa Nova background music. In case you were unaware, Nautor’s Swan is a Finnish-based producer of luxury sailing yachts originally founded in 1966. BMW has partnered with Nautor’s Swan in the past, such as at regattas like the Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, and with BMW celebrating a quarter century of its Individual customization program, this one-off model inspired by the world of yachting seems like the right fit.

Standout features include teak paneling for the interior, plus a unique color finish and further boating themes. And since it’s based on the BMW M760Li xDrive V12 Excellence, this four-door has plenty of performance potential as well. Interested? Then navigate your way past the jump to check out the details.

What Makes It Special

Outside, the BMW Individual M760Li Inspired By Nautor’s Swan (good lord that’s a mouthful) is finished in a handsome ruddy paint color, with the hue extended to the brake calipers for a matching look. The binders also get the Nautor’s Swan logo branded on to them. The Nautor’s Swan brand arrow was also added to the trunk lid, yet another nod to the yacht-maker’s model line. A slick coachline was added to the profile to tie it all together.

Step inside the cabin, and you’ll find BMW Individual’s damask red and two-tone Merino leather added just about everywhere, plus smoke white and Criollo brown for everything else.

Nautor’s Swan also offered help with the build in terms of cabin appointment, most notably with teak paneling mated by rubber joints. The teak is an allusion to the deck of a yacht, while the rubber allows the paneling to expand and contract at different rates depending on the temperature. Nautor’s Swan also added teak to floor in the trunk in the car, which was decked out even further trunk thanks to materials like Alcantara in a Smoke White finish.

Further teak from Nautor’s Swan can be found in the doorsills and floor mats, while Nautor’s Swan logo was added to the headrests, seat cushions, and sun visors. On the driver’s side of the car, the trim was made from European oak, a material also applied to the central console. Per the BMW Individual specification, more leather was also added to the A pillars, B pillars, seat trim, doorsills, and side covers for the instrument panel.

Mechanically, things are unchanged. That means making the go is a 6.6-liter M Performance TwinPower Turbo V-12, with peak output rated at 610 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. The 0-to-62 mph sprint is done in just 3.7 seconds, which translates into one seriously speedy four-door. An eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission sends the power to an xDrive AWD system for enhanced grip, while the Executive Drive Pro chassis system keeps it shiny side up. Tech features inside include the usual semi-automated driving features, a large touchscreen, gesture control, and more.

Conclusion

If you were looking for the perfect German luxury car to complement that shiny new yacht you’ve got sitting in the harbor, then it looks like this bespoke Bimmer might fit the bill. Sure, it’s a one-off, but if you’ve got the bread for a yacht, odds are you’ll be able to add some teak to your limo as well, no problem.
