Manhart has a new toy for big boys and it's based on the smoking-hot BMW M8 Competition, a car that's already brimming with performance. Yet Manhart didn't settle for the stock grunt because, honestly, that's not what tuners do. So what you're seeing here is the MH8 800, the fastest BMW M8 Competition... in the world.

Powertrain Upgrades and Performance

Your bog-standard 2020 BMW M8 Competition is built around the S63 4.4-liter V-8 with 617 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque (750 Newton-meters). 0-60 mph takes three seconds flat and the sprint can go on to a Vmax of 190 mph with the electronic nannies turned off.

For the sake of the argument, the non-Competition M8 gets 600 horsepower and the same amount of torque from the same mill, with unchanged top speed and 0-60 time.

In return, it dispatches the 0-60 mph interval in 2.8 seconds (0.2 seconds quicker than the M8 Comp). There's no word on top speed, but that should take a hike, too, given the power infusion.

The eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission was also upgraded to handle the extra stress and Manhart offers a stainless steel exhaust silencer with quad 100-millimeter pipes. You can choose to coat those in carbon fiber or ceramic.

Interior Enhancements

Not too much to write home about but given the M8 Competition's cabin is already fitted with the best BMW has to offer on all levels, Manhart took the subtle approach. As in, the only changes here include a carbon steering wheel and carbon shift paddles. After all, those are the bits and bobs you'll mostly focus on, right?

Exterior Styling Upgrades

It's pretty obvious that the MH8 800 sits closer to the ground courtesy of height-adjustable KW coil springs that can be lowered by as much as 30 millimeters. Visually speaking, there are a couple of add-ons that set the MH8 800 apart from the regular M8 Competition.

There's a new carbon fiber front spoiler lip and carbon fiber extra inserts on the apron for a spiced up appearance. The same goes in the back, courtesy of a rear spoiler lip and a redesigned diffuser (these, too, are made of carbon fiber).

And of course, what you might have spotted already, the body color of choice is black adorned with gold deco stripes on the sides and hood complemented by gold accents here and there. Oh, and the golden-edged, six-double-spoked 21-inch wheels you see here are Manhart Concave One alloys.

Draw a line and these upgrades alone will set you back around €19,000 (or roughly $21,000). On top of that, keep in mind that the M8 Competition starts at €168,000 in Germany ($133,000 in the U.S.) so you're looking at a grand total of roughly €190,000 or $150,000.
