The current generation BMW 2 Series doesn't offer a higher-performance model just yet. The next M2 is currently under some intensive testing, but its official debut is still months away.

Right now the most powerful 2 Series is the 374-horsepower M240i - which, let's be honest, is not a lot for a sporty coupe. But Dähler Competition has got you covered.

What changes were made under the hood?

From the factory, the BMW M240i is offered with a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six that makes 374 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. And, since Dähler Competition already has a lot of experience with this engine - it upgraded the M440i and the M340i in the past, which come with the same engine - tuning up the M240i to make more power was actually very easy.

The tuner is offering two different stages of power. In Stage 1 the output goes up to 430 horsepower and 449 pound-feet of torque, while Stage 2 goes to an even more impressive 455 horsepower and 472 pound-feet of torque.

Apart from the power upgrade, Dähler is also offering a stainless steel exhaust system with ceramic-coated 100 mm double end pipes that will improve the sound of the engine significantly. As an option, customers can also opt for the Eventuri intake system.

What other changes are offered?

As for the exterior upgrades, Dähler is only offering a front spoiler lip at the moment. However, more aesthetic upgrades are coming. The tuner did work on improving the car's chassis, though. There is a new set of sports springs that are built in-house, which will lower the car's ride and give it a more aggressive stance. As an option, you can also go for the Competition coilover suspension "built by Dähler."

Of course, a tuning kit must come with a new set of wheels, so customers can choose between various in-house-built CDC1 alloy rims offered either as a cast wheel or in the forged variant. They are sized 9x20” up front and 10x20” in the rear, and wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires measuring 235/35ZR20 and 275/30ZR20.
