When it comes to BMW models, the M8 is probably one of the few models that will be okay with absolutely no changes. It looks sporty enough, it is luxurious on the interior, and, in the M8 Competition version, you get more than enough power.

The German tuner 'Wheelsandmore' seems to have a different opinion, and it developed a very interesting tuning kit for the M8 Competition.

What changes are offered under the hood?

The standard M8 Competition is powered by a 4.4-liter M TwinPower Turbo V-8 engine that delivers a total of 617 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. However, Wheelsandmore discovered the recipe to offer you a lot more. And, the tuner is in fact offering three different stages of upgrades, which will allow you to have the perfect M8 for you.

In the "base" form, the German tuner is offering a plug-and-play tuning module that will increase the output to 690 horsepower and 656 pound-feet of torque. This update will cost you €3,450 - or about $3,900 at the current exchange rates.

The next level of upgrade is the Stage 1 and includes modified engine control. These changes will take the final output up to 720 horsepower and the same 656 pound-feet of torque. Stage 1 is priced at 2,499€ - or about $2,800 at the current exchange rates.

Finally, the best option is the Stage 2. It includes a modified engine control, but also a downpipe with sport catalyzer. In this stage, the final output goes up to an impressive 775 horsepower and 671 pound-feet of torque.

Because a more powerful engine needs a better sound, the tuner is also offering a dÄHLer exhaust system priced at €5,380 (about $6,000).

What are the other changes?

Wheelsandmore makes no changes to the exterior of the car, but it does offer a few other updates that will further improve its technical features. First of all, customers will be able to choose between three different wheel sets.

They are called: Underdock, F.I.W.E., and 6Sporz and are priced at €19,700 ($22,300); €14,530 ($16,400) and €12,089 ($13,680), respectively. The first set measures 20 inches in size and offers a central locking adapter system, while the other two measure 21 inches in diameter. All three are offered with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Of course, these three sets of wheels can be ordered in any possible color.

You can also lower the car's ride a little. There are two different options to choose from. The first one is priced at 1,092€ ($1,235) and includes KW coil springs. It will lower the M8's ride by 25 millimeters (0.98 inches). The second option, priced at 5,767€ ($6,500) includes a KW V4 coilover suspension. It ensures safe and sporty-comfortable handling even at high speeds and will lower the car's ride height by anywhere in between 15 to 35 millimeters (0.6 to 1.3 inches).
