The BMW M5 is offered in standard and Competition versions, with the latest one delivering a total of 617 horsepower. However, there was also the M5 CS - which was rolled out in March 2021 - which delivered a total of 627 horsepower and was also 230 pounds lighter than the M5 Competition.

Even if the M5 CS is already out of production, the German tuner G-Power decided to offer current owners the possibility to add a lot more power under the hood.

There are quite a few packages to choose from

G-Power is offering quite a few upgrade options for the M5 CS. The base version only includes the GP-700 performance software and delivers a total of 700 horsepower and 626 pound-feet of torque. If you want to add even more power to your M5 CS, there is also the possibility to opt for the GP-740 performance software in combination with the GP-DEEPTONE exhaust system. This version delivers a total of 740 horsepower and 663 pound-feet of torque. The third version includes the GP-780 performance software in conjunction with the sports downpipes and exhaust system. It delivers a total of 780 horsepower and 700 pound-feet of torque.

The next version in line combines the GP-820 performance software with the GP-900 turbocharger upgrade, G-Power sports downpipes, and the GP-Deeptone exhaust system.

And, for customers who want even more, G-Power already announced the G5M Hurricane RS (840 horsepower) and the G5M Hurricane RR (900 horsepower).

What other changes are made?

G-Power is offering no other changes to the exterior or the interior, but it does offer a new set of wheels in Hurricane RR or Hurricane RS designs. They are offered in 20 or 21 inches in size and come wrapped in 285/30R21 and 295/30R21 tires or 275/35 and 285/35 tires.
