The last two vehicles launched by Manhart were the MHX5 700 and the MH8 800 Limited, which were based on high-end BMW models - the X5 M Competition and the M8 Competition. For the company's latest project - the MH7 400d - Manhart is turning its attention to the BMW 740d xDrive. Yes, a diesel car!

What changes were made under the hood?

From factory, the 740d xDrive is powered by a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbodiesel engine that delivers a total of 320 horsepower and 501 pound-feet of torque.

In order to obtain the extra power Manhart used an in-house ECU remapping combined with a Turbo Performance kit that includes a turbocharger upgrade. The eight-speed automatic transmission also received an upgrade, but, to our surprise the exhaust system remained in its standard condition.

What other changes are offered?

Just like all the other Manhart vehicles, the MH7 400d also comes with a few updates to the exterior too. First of all, the car gets carbon spoiler lip on both the front apron and the trunk lid.

The car also rides on a new set of Venturi alloy wheels sized 10x22 at the front and 11x22 inches at the rear. They are finished in back, with a trim line in gold running around the rim edge to match the rest of the exterior look.

The car's factory air suspension was lowered by about 20-30 millimeters (0.7 - 1.1 inches) for an even more aerodynamic look.
