What makes the 2023 BMW 7-Series “The First Edition” special?

When launched, the new 7-Series “The First Edition” will be the world's first mass-produced vehicle with a rear-seat entertainment experience including a 31.3-inch 8K panoramic display system and a 40-speaker Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system. These features will be part of a special Select package that will also include a Sky Lounge panoramic glass sunroof and an interior camera.

The special edition will also include a Rear Comfort package that will add multi-function rear seats with heating, ventilation, and a massage function.

Both the interior and the exterior will be centered around a combination of mineral white and black sapphire, or tanzanite blue and oxide gray for the i7 version. Depending on the model, customers will be offered either high-quality black or smoke white Merino leather seats or a bicolor merino leather in a combination of tartofo and night blue. The 740i Excellence and i7 xDrive60 Excellence models will be offered with 20-inch wheels in a two-tone finish, while the 740i M Sport will ride on 21-inch wheels with jet-black accents and 3D polishing.

As a reminder, the 740i packs a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with a 48-volt mild-hybrid technology that produces 380 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. On the other hand, the i7 xDrive 60 features a dual-motor setup that has a combined output of 536 horsepower and 549 pound-feet of torque.

Prices for the new "The First Edition" will be as follow: ¥17,200,000 (about $135,000 at the current exchange rates) for the 740i Excellence, and ¥19,000,000 (about $148,000) for the 740i M Sport and i7 xDrive60 Excellence versions.
