2020 BMW Concept i4
Despite the Geneva Motor Show getting canceled at the last minute due to the coronavirus scare, most of the automakers decided to unveil the vehicles at the same timelines, although on digital platforms.
BMW revealed the i4 Concept that previews what we can expect from the production version slated to release in 2021. To put it simply, the i4 will essentially be a 4 Series Gran Coupe with an electric powertrain. Will people accept it based on its looks?
Imagine, if you will, that you have a crystal ball and within that ball, you can see BMW’s future. What do you see 5 years from now? 10 years from now? 20 years from now? Do you see crazy sports cars, an allotment of high-spend luxury cars, or a simple evolution of the cars the brand offers today? Well, if you look at the BMW Concept 4, the what you should be seeing is grille….lots and lots of big grilles. After all, that has been the most controversial thing about the new Concept 4, a model that’s said to represent, at least in some form, the next-gen 4 Series. That means other models, should this grille find its way to the next-gen 4 Series, could feature a similar look down the road as well. For now, though, let’s take a closer look at the Concept 4 and see what more there is to it outside of that massive grille.
2020 ALPINA B7 xDrive Sedan
Alpina and BMW have a long history. The former has been tuning Bimmers for over five decades and even provides graphic packages, different alloy designs, etc. Realizing the rising demand of Alpina-tuned cars, BMW started selling them through its own dealerships in the U.S. This time, BMW and Alpina have worked on the former’s big-face flagship luxury sedan to create an explosive monster known as the 2020 Alpina B7. The 2020 B7 was unveiled earlier this month in Palm Springs and is the sixth-generation luxury model from Alpina.
2020 BMW X4 M
The 2020 BMW X4 M is the high-performance version of BMW’s compact coupe SUV. Unveiled alongside its 2020 X3 M sibling, the X4 M arrived five years after the nameplate was introduced in 2014. A bit late to the party, but BMW finally offers a competitor for the Mercedes-AMG GLC63 Coupe. Based on the second-generation X4 that was unveiled for the 2018 model year, the X4 M shares underpinnings and technology with the X3 M. It features BMW’s brand-new S58 engine, a twin-turbo, 3.0-liter inline-six that will also power the next-generation M3 and M4 models. The X4 M is, together with the X3 M, the first M vehicle that’s available with two power ratings at the same time. The X4 M is the base model with 473 horsepower, while the X4 M Competition acts as the range-topping version with 503 horsepower.
2020 BMW X3 M
The 2020 BMW X3 M is the high-performance version of the company’s popular compact SUV. The M-badged crossover arrived a full 16 years after the X3 made its debut and enables BMW to compete with beefed-up versions of the Mercedes-Benz GLC and Audi Q5. Alongside the X3 M, BMW also introduced a higher-spec Competition model. The highly anticipated X3 M arrived to put an end to more than a decade of speculation. Rumored ever since the crossover arrived in showrooms back in 2003, the X3 M is finally here to take on the Mercedes-AMG GLC63. The Competition model boasts a bit more power and extra standard features, which places it in the same league with the AMG GLC63 S.
2020 BMW 8 Series Convertible
Unveiled for the 2019 model year, the modern BMW 8 Series revives the iconic nameplate that the German firm produced from 1990 to 1999. Unlike its predecessor, the new 8 Series also spawned a convertible version to tackle the drop-top variant of the luxurious Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe.
After nearly two decades on the shelf, the BMW 8 Series is back, and it’s once again looking to head the BMW lineup with sporty grand touring luxury as a replacement for the outgoing 6 Series. Revived in both racing and full production form at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Bavarians kicked things off with a hardtop coupe iteration, but this new flagship also spawned a convertible ahead of the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. 2020 BMW M340i xDrive
Just before its official unveiling at the L.A. Auto Show, BMW released the first specifications about the best G20 3 Series revealed so far - the M340i xDrive. It is not an M3, but it is really, really close to being one. Actually, the M340i is the most powerful 3 Series ever revealed. Save for previous two generations of the M3.
Taking the G20 3 Series architecture to a level unachieved by any BMW 340i of before, the 2020 BMW M340i xDrive comes with a standard, electronically controlled, mechanical limited slip differential, a 382 horsepower engine, and specially tuned eight-speed transmission with Launch Control.

2019 BMW Z4
The third-generation BMW Z4 combines styling features seen on the Z4 Concept from 2017 and the flagship 8 Series Coupe. The roadster broke cover at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in M40i trim, but more versions joined the lineup toward 2019.
After more than three years of speculation, which included rumors that the roadster might be renamed, the third-gen Z4 made its public debut exactly 30 years after the first Z1 car went into production in 1988. Unveiled at same location as the Z4 Concept in 2017, the third-gen Z4 replaces a seven-year model that was past its prime. Drawing cues from both the Z4 Concept and the 8 Series, the new Z4 raises above the competition in just about every department.

Toyota showed up to Goodwood with a camouflaged Supra in hopes of stealing the spotlight, but Aston Martin, Land Rover, Jaguar, Brabham, and others made sure to get their own attention by bringing their latest gear. BMW was particularly eager to show off here, as next to their all-new 8 Series, they will be revealing this - the BMW M Performance Parts Concept M2.
Debuting at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the car will showcase all the breadth of BMW M Performance division who spruced up the M2 to previously unimaginable levels. It is a lighter, meaner, and angrier version of the BMW M2 Coupe. Some of the parts showcased here are destined for the new BMW M2 Competition.
BMW has eased into the electric future, starting with the BMW X5 I Performance – it’s first plug-in hybrid – back in 2015. Fast forward a few years and here we are looking at the BMW iX3 Concept, an
based, all-electric SUV (or SAV as BMW likes to call it) that features the brand’s fifth-gen electric drive system, modular batteries, and some i-specific design cues that we’ll surely see when the iX3 goes into production. As a concept that’s practically ready to roll off the production line, there’s a lot to talk about, so let’s get to it.
2018 BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupe
Introduced in 1989 as a replacement for the 6 Series, the 8 Series became BMW’s largest and most luxurious coupe yet. Produced in a little over 30,000 units until 1999, it’s among the rarest and most desirable Bimmers ever built. Come 2018, and the flagship two-door is set to return alongside an M8 version (for the very first time) and a race-spec model. But BMW isn’t stopping here. With some nameplates already available in Gran Coupe trim, the 8 Series will also get a four-door coupe model. The vehicle was confirmed at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, where the German firm showcased the Concept M8 Gran Coupe.
Designed to offer "a look ahead to the most exotic and alluring variant of the new BMW 8 Series," the Concept M8 Gran Coupe also previews a car that "will take over as the new flagship model" for the lineup. This means it will sit atop the 7 Series full-size, and even though it won’t be necessarily larger than the four-door, it will definitely cost more and have more exclusive features inside and out. And, despite the "flagship" description, it won’t take over the 7 Series’ battle with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the Audi A8. Instead, it will compete against the Mercedes-Benz CLS and Audi A7. The concept also suggests that the 8 Series Gran Coupe will be joined by a sportier M8 version.

2018 BMW M2 Coupe Edition Black Shadow
Introduced in 2015, the BMW M2 Coupe is the spiritual successor of the cool 1M Coupe and considered by many to be a more exciting proposition to the M4. And, the enthusiasts are pretty much right, as not only is the M2 is an authentic embodiment of the rear-wheel-drive, M-badged sports car, it’s also a bit more compact than the M4 and closer to the original M3 as far as dimensions go. With more than 12,000 units sold in its first full year on the market, the M2’s success is unquestionable. Now, BMW is celebrating just that with a special edition model called Black Shadow.
Not to be confused with the iconic Shadowline package, the M2 Edition Black Shadow is essentially a "triple black" treatment for the compact coupe. There’s absolutely no chrome on this car, with every single bright element reduced to either matte or glossy black. Oh, and there’s some carbon finish here and there too, which makes the Black Shadow a really menacing, yet somehow elegant car to look at. The kind that Darth Vader would drive on a regular basis.

2019 BMW X4
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again – people love their SUVs. It seems like every year, the segment gets bigger and more diverse, with a seemingly never-ending parade of tall-riding, off-road-styled, utility-oriented models filling every niche possible. One of the fresher entries in this space is the BMW X4, which hit the scene as recently as 2014 as the Bavarian’s take on compact/mid-size crossover luxury in a sporty, coupe-like package. Making its initial debut at the New York International Auto Show, the first-gen X4 has performed quite well for the brand in terms of sales, moving some 200,000 units since its introduction, nearly 10 percent of which went to the U.S. market. Now, just four years after its release, the X4 is gaining a second generation. Framed as a sporty, yet practical, yet off-road capable evolution of the Bavarian’s upscale SAC (BMW doesn’t like to call it an SUV, instead preferring the “Sports Activity Coupe” nomenclature), the 2019 BMW X4 offers consumers a surprising number of “sporty” updates, including a wider track, new suspension settings, more aggressive proportions, a lower center of gravity, and a more aerodynamic exterior.
The model line once again includes two equipment levels, starting with the xDrive30i, which replaces the outgoing xDrive28i, and ending with the more aggressive M40i, a carryover from the previous model year. Overall, the updates seem to double down on what the X4 does best, and will surely tempt buyers looking for something that can “do it all.” Read on for the details.
