Bugatti has a new pair of special edition models under the “Chiron Noire Exclusive” name. The two models are called the Chiron Noire Sportive and the Chiron Noire Elegance. Both are inspired, partly at least, by the one-off Bugatti La Voiture Noire that Bugatti unveiled earlier this year. Both Chiron Noire Exclusive Special Edition models are dressed in all black and carry a bevy of features that are exclusive to the two models. Bugatti only plans to release 20 units of the Chiron Noire Exclusive Special Edition in these two finishes. Deliveries are expected to start in the second quarter of 2020 with each unit costing $3,305,445.

One look at the two Bugatti Chiron Noire Exclusive Special Edition models and you already know what it’s all about. The Bugatti Chiron Noire Elegance and the Bugatti Chiron Noire Sportive are the products of customer demand, and just like the La Voiture Noire, the Chiron Noire Elegance and the Chiron Noire Sportive are dressed to impress in all black.

Bugatti opted to leave the skin of the Chiron Noire Elegance alone, but it added a matte black finish over the carbon skin of the Chiron Noire Sportive, highlighting the exterior difference between the two special edition Chiron models.

Up front, the Chiron Noire Elegance comes with a solid silver Bugatti “Macaron” emblem that’s refined with black enamel, sitting comfortably on the redesigned front grille. The C signature also gets an exclusive touch. The material is milled from solid metal and finished in matt polished aluminum. The treatment is typical of what you’d expect from Bugatti. It’s quality to the highest order, and the overall finish creates a super luxurious-looking contrast that’s quintessential Bugatti.

The engine cover and the rear-view mirror are finished in black carbon and polished aluminum. As if it needed identifiers, the Chiron Noire Elegance also comes with a “Noire” inscription on side panels in front of the rear wheel and the underside of the rear wing. A new set of Caractere wheels are also part of the package. Bugatti didn’t elaborate on the wheel size, but those should be 20-inch rims if we’re going by the wheel size of the “standard” Chiron.

If there’s a way to describe an all-black Bugatti as “flashy,” the Chiron Noire Sportive might fit that description better than most. Unlike the Chiron Noire Elegance, the Chiron Noire Sportive wears a matte black finish over the exposed carbon fiber body. That theme continues throughout the exterior, too. The front grille, spoiler, C-signature lines, and parts of the engine cover are all finished in matte black. Even the four tailpipes of the supercar’s titanium exhaust system are dressed in the matte black goodness.

Just like the Chiron Noire Elegance, the Chiron Noire Sportive comes with its own exterior “Noire” badges, real aluminum parts, and a set of Caractere wheels.

It’s clear, at least as far as the exterior of both exclusive packages are concerned, that Bugatti wanted to create two different stylistic twists of the same model. The Chiron Noire Elegance, with its exposed carbon-fiber body, looks like it’s the more polished of the two special edition Chirons. The exposed carbon fiber body is striking in ways that the Chiron Noire Sportive’s matte black-covered body can’t replicate. The latter, however, looks flashier and more personable. There’s a dynamic twist to the matte-black covered Bugatti Chiron that’s cool to look at from every conceivable angle.

The Chiron Noire Elegance’s interior signature line is made of aluminum and a silk-matte finish. The lit-up look adds plenty of aesthetic identity to a cabin that’s otherwise drowning in all-black leather and Alcantara.

There are no photos of the interior at the moment, but it appears that Bugatti didn’t leave it to chance to let prospective buyers know that this is a special edition Chiron. The “Noire” inscription can be found everywhere in the cabin. From the door sills, headrests to the center console, all you need to do is turn your head around to see the “Noire” inscription. Bugatti also added exclusive badging to denote the exclusivity of each edition of the Chiron Noire Exclusive Special Edition model.

You might find this a bit of a surprise but the Chiron Noire Sportive is more dominated by black than the Chiron Noire Elegance. The same aluminum trim parts in the interior are also present in the Chiron Noire Sportive, but many of the other elements are finished in black, including

-* rotary knobs

-* steering wheel

-* center console

-* door handles

The embroidered “Noire” inscriptions on the inlays of the headrest and center console are likewise dressed in black.

There are no surprises here. Both special edition packages carry the “Noire” name — it’s French for “black” — for a reason.

2020 Bugatti Chiron Noire Special Edition Powertrain and Performance

There are no powertrain upgrades that come with either of the two special edition Bugatti Chirons. Don’t sound too disappointed; The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends all that power to all four wheels of the supercar.

With that much power on tap, both the Chiron Noire Sportive and the Chiron Noire Elegance should be able to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds, the same time as the standard Chiron. More to that, both special edition Chirons should also cover 0 to 124 mph in just 6.5 seconds and 0 to 186 mph in 13.6 seconds. If you get the start right and sustain speeds without skipping a beat, the two special edition Chirons should also be able to reach 0 to 249 mph a whopping 32.6 seconds.

The Bugatti Chiron’s electronically limited top speed is 261 mph. Bugatti put a cap on the supercar’s top speed, in part because of concerns regarding the condition of its tires if it goes above the capped 261-mph top speed. That being said, the Bugatti Chiron Longtail was driven to an uncapped top speed of 304.77 mph by driver Andy Wallace back in September 2019. The attempt was verified by Germany’s Technical Inspection Association (TUV), making it an official record. The Bugatti Chiron Longtail achieved that mark while wearing a set of carbon fiber-reinforced tires from Michelin.

2020 Bugatti Chiron Noire Special Edition Pricing and Availability

The Bugatti Chiron Noire Exclusive Special Edition is essentially an appearance package for the Bugatti Chiron. That includes both versions of the special edition model: the Chiron Noire Sportive and the Chiron Noire Elegance. That’s around $110,000 based on current exchange rates. Throw that in the $3.2 million price of the Bugatti Chiron and you’re looking at a total price tag that starts at $3,305,445.

Conclusion

There’s only one reaction every time Bugatti rolls out a special edition model: wow. The Chiron Noire Exclusive Special Edition doubles that up with two appearance packages that are both to-die-for. I’m a fan of both the Chiron Noire Sportive and the Chiron Noire Elegance, though if given a choice, I’m going with the naked carbon fiber Chiron Noire Elegance. Something about naked carbon fiber just looks sexy to the eyes. There’s a rawness to it that’s hard to shake off, and when it’s laid out in a body like the Chiron, you can’t help but just stare at it. I like the Chiron Noire Sportive, too, but if given a choice which of the two I like more, I’m going with the Chiron Noire Elegance without missing a beat.
