2020 Cadillac CT5-V
The 2020 Cadillac CT5-V is a higher performance version of the 2020 CT5, the midsize sedan that replaced the old CTS in 2019. Nameplate-wise, the 2020 CT5-V is a replacement for the CTS-V, but the redesign is rather lackluster in the performance department. While the CTS-V had in excess of 600 horsepower and delivered more oomph than the competition, the CT5-V’s V-6 engine slips below the 400-horsepower rating. So while it can compete with cars like the 2019 BMW 5 Series and 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class in terms of styling, features, and technology, the CT5-V doesn’t replace the CTS-V as a competitor for the beefed-up 2019 BMW M5 and 2019 Mercedes-AMG E63. 2020 Cadillac CT4-V
The 2020 Cadillac CT4-V is the company’s latest compact performance car and a replacement for the 2019 ATS-V. The CT4-V is based on the CT4, a sedan that’s set to break cover later in 2019. The CT4-V marks Cadillac’s return to the performance compact sedan market, currently dominated by BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi. However, the CT4-V doesn’t go against the high-profile BMW M3, and Mercedes-AMG C63 like its predecessor did.
While the 2019 ATS-V came with a V-6 engine rated at more than 450 horsepower, the 2020 CT4-V features a smaller engine with a smaller output. The new compact features the 2.7-liter four-cylinder that debuted in the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado truck and hits the road with a little over 300 horsepower. Does it have what it takes to compete with Germany’s finest performance sedans? Let’s find out in the review below.
2017 Cadillac XT5 – Driven
Cadillac is diligently working on polishing its brand reputation after decades of forgettable cars. Over the last few years, General Motors’ luxury brand has gotten a good start with updates to the ATS and CTS, while launching the all-new and impressive CT6. But, sedans aren’t hot right now – it’s crossovers. Cadillac needed a high-end crossover with classy digs and tons of tech capable of competing with the Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Jaguar F-Pace. That’s where the new XT5 comes in, debuting for the 2017 model year.
The XT5 rides on GM’s new C1XX platform that’s shared with the GMC Acadia. The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse and 2018 Buick Enclave ride on a lengthened version of the C1XX, as well. The new architecture gave Cadillac engineers a clean-sheet start over the outgoing SRX crossover and the ability to bake in better ride characteristics, handling, softened NVH levels, more interior room, and better fuel economy. The icing on the cake is then advanced part-time AWD system with a twin-clutch rear differential capable of active torque vectoring. Not only does it improve all-weather drivability, but it improves handling on dry roads, too. A new V-6 and eight-speed automatic transmission complete the important under-hood parts. Tech-savvy customers will love the new CUE system with 4G LTE Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and wireless phone charging. Luxury bits include amazingly comfortable seats, high-end leather, wood and metal accents, and a suede headliner.

2018 Cadillac XTS
Cadillac is an interesting brand. In a world where SUVs reign superior, Cadillac only has two – the XT5 and the Escalade. Meanwhile, it takes the “same sausage, different lengths” mentality to extremes with its entire lineup of cars that all look damn near the same. And, that gets even worse as we begin the painstaking transcendence into the 2018 model year, as the XTS has now been updated with Cadillac’s latest design cues, making it nearly identical to the CT6 that sits above it and the midsized CTS that sits below it. As such, this facelift brings about a new grille design, new front fascia, and new headlight and taillight units on the outside to go with an updated chassis under the skin, and some updated technology and new color/trim choices on the inside.
All told, the facelift is more refining than anything, but whether or not that’s a good thing remains to be seen. One this is for sure, though. The XTS has its work cut out for it if it’s going to be a strong competitor for models the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. So will the updates for 2018 give the XTS the fighting chance it deserves, or will it scrape and claw its way through the muck that is the full-size luxury segment until Cadillac can manage to muster up a second-gen model? Let’s take a good look at what Cadillac brings to the table for 2018 and find out for ourselves.
The all-new 2015 Cadillac Escalade has arrived! Official images followed a posh event in New York last night, debuting the production version of the new Cadillac flagship.
After becoming quite familiar with the updates to the similar 2015 Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon Denali, it is clear that all three of these machines are vastly improved in almost every way. As the Cadillac of the line, the Escalade naturally brings the best 420-horsepower, V-8 engine and third-gen magnetic shocks as standard.
The Caddy’s exterior is defined by some striking LED lighting front and back. Luxury details abound inside the cabin, including special leathers and better seats than its cheaper siblings. Offered as a gurgling rear-drive or refined all-wheel-drive setup in regular or ESV sizes, the new Escalade is faster, smoother and more efficient than ever before.
The Escalade is still the king of the road in many places, and the new grille is certainly enough to grab some flash bulbs. This big truck looks great versus the previous three generations of Cadillac full-size SUVs. With pricing and dimensions that put most other SUVs in "time out," the Escalade is tipped for pricing between $65,000 and $95,000 when it arrives in early Spring 2014.

The Cadillac Escalade has always been a love-it-or-hate-it type of vehicle, thanks to its awesome styling but terrible fuel economy. Sales have been falling off lately and incoming CAFÉ regulations are really putting the squeeze on GM to increase the overall fuel economy of its sole luxury automaker. This led to talks of the Escalade getting the axe in coming years, but apparently GM is not ready to throw in the towel yet.
Reports are pointing to an all-new Cadillac Escalade arriving in 2014 as an early-2015 model year. Instead of Caddy going the direction that many other SUV builders have gone, it will keep the Escalade on a truck frame, whereas many builders are changing SUVs to sit upon car platforms. This means that the 2015 Escalade will ride on the same platform as the soon-to-be released new Chevy Silverado and Sierra.
Unfortunately, we have nothing to really offer except speculation on the incoming Chevy and GMC trucks, as we have only seen heavily camouflaged models. All we can say for certain is that the Cadillac will share the same platform as its pickup brethren. Some experts are anticipating a change in the Silverado/Sierra twins that rivals the 1996 space shuttle treatment that the F-150 received. If this is the case, we can also expect a vastly redesigned Escalade.
We also know that GM has to work on the fuel economy of this luxury SUV to help it meet CAFÉ regulations in the future and the 18 highway mpg that the 2012 Escalade gets is simply not going to cut it. Look for GM to develop an engine that rivals the Ford’s EcoBoost V-6, like the 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine that has been mentioned, and toss it into the Escalade. The only other option would be to go turbo diesel, which may not sit well with Cadillac owners.

Updated 10/01/2013: With just a few days before its official debut, Cadillac unveiled a new teaser image, this time revealing the interior of the 2015 Escalade. As expected the new SUV combines luxurious handcrafted elements with state-of-the-art advanced technology, this way offering the latest features in luxury, connectivity and safety for up to eight occupants.

America has been known for many years as the "land of opportunity", now it can be known as the "land of the insane engineering." This change of title is due to a car which defies convention and could be considered the Bell X-1 of tuned sedans. This vehicle truly breaks down what is possible in the tuning market and plows a new path. This seminal vehicle is the 2012 Hennessey Twin Turbo V1000 CTS-V Coupe. The guys over at Hennessey were the only people to look at the 2012 Cadillac CTS-V and think "ya know, we need to make it as powerful as a medium sized ICBM," and the outcome is simply staggering.
This latest offering from the Texas based tuning company boasts 1,000 horsepower and 950 ft/lbs of torque. This will push the sports car to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and will allow it to do the quarter mile in 10.9 seconds at 136 mph. All this while pushing it all the way to a top speed of 230 mph.
If you’re screaming "I want one!", you will have to a right a large check (somewhere north of 150K). You will also have to be quick because only 12 are being made. If you are lucky enough to have this automotive Hulk, you will undoubtedly love to get under the skin of other super car owners. They will roll their eyes at this pauper, but as soon as you press the loud pedal, you will definitely give their Mercedes SLS AMG and Ferrari 458 Italia models a fright.

Cadillac is getting serious about the European market, and that’s evident with the new 2010 CTS Sport Wagon. While wagons have not always been the preference for North American customers, the extra space finds favor with European customers. The wagon was a natural evolution for Cadillac considering the CTS was designed to compete with sedans from Germany such as the Audi A4 and the BMW 3-Series. The more aggressive lines suggest that the CTS Sport Wagon is going after A4 Avant customers.
The base engine in North America will be the 3.6-liter 263 horsepower V-6. Optional will be a the 3.6-liter with added direct injection, which increases output to 304 horsepower. There is also a 2.9-liter turbo-diesel V-6 engine option making 250 horsepower for the European and Asian markets. The gas engine V-6 Sport Wagon’s fuel economy is expected to be similar to the peak rating of the sedan’s 26 mpg highway rating. All will be available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission as well as all-wheel drive.

Highlights of the new 2007 Cadillac Escalade include a stiffer frame, a more powerful V8 engine, higher-quality interior materials, and a more refined appearance inside and out.
