Details about the next generation Bentley Arnage have been circulating around the Internet for quite a while now. Well, it is official that the luxury limousine will make its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this August and will go into production by he second half of 2010.

Codenamed Project Kimberly, the next Arnage will be built on Audi’s modular platform, the same structure that supports everything from the A4 to the A8. Under the hood there will be more than enough power coming from an 8 cylinder engine mated to a ZF 8 speed automatic transmission; there were also rumors floating around about a possible diesel V12.

There was even talk that the W16 from the Bugatti Veyron could find its way into the production Arnage. If that does happen, chances are that it will be under the hood of the top of the line, Arnage T. Despite the overwhelming weight of the big Bentley, it should be able to go from 0 to 60 MPH in under 5 seconds.
