Long after his sad and untimely death, Dale Earnhardt remains a beloved and iconic figure among American racing fans. One Chevy dealership in North Carolina, which calls itself North Carolina Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet, even went as far as dedicating a special-edition Camaro for the NASCAR legend for posthumous induction into the Hall of Fame.

Limited to only 10 models with two already accounted for, the HOF-edition Camaro comes with a 6.2-liter V8 engine and a custom two-tone Candy Apple Red Tri-coat/black paint design with a silver metalic side dual pin striping and a special-edition Dale Earnhardt Hall of Fame insignia on the car’s hood. Apart from what already is a mouthful of features, the Hall of Fame Camaro also comes with exclusive add-ons including machined Dale Earnhardt Bowties, Hall of Fame Edition Side and Dash badging, Dale Earnhardt HOF door sills, numbered badges and Dale Earnhardt trunk plaques. If this car doesn’t shout ’Dale Earnhardt!’ from front to rear, we don’t know what will.

As we’ve said, two of the 10 models of this special-edition Camaro have already been scooped up, which means that you have to order one at the Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet dealership in North Carolina before eight other people do. The price tag of the car is a shade under $48,000 ($47,993) and for the 10 people who end up buying the car, they will likewise receive a Dale Earnhardt Legends Membership with NASCAR Hall of Fame Edition Certificate of Authenticity.

Of all the American race car drivers in history, few would argue against calling Dale Earnhardt the greatest one of them all. And if you’re a fan of the Intimidator, there’s no better way to show it off than to roll around town behind the wheel of this special-edition Earnhardt tribute Camaro.

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read More

I like the camaro specially the Camaro SS but Honestly I hate the two toned color combination. It would be better if they did a racing stripes on it rather than painting it’s whole roof with Red.

I realized that they want the pace cars to look flashy, but how come they end up looking a little desperate for attention, like the 1998 Corvette pace car?
