The first of General Motors’ Epsilon II platform cars, the 2010 Buick LaCrosse has been seen testing. That platform will eventually go under the next generation Saturn Aura and Chevrolet Malibu.

The grillwork visible through the mesh on the front suggests that the Enclave theme is being carried through to this vehicle. The roof on this vehicle is also interesting: it appears to be a huge sunroof.
The test vehicle also had dual exhaust pipes, suggesting that the engine was expected to put out some power. The CTS’s 3.6 liter V-6 puts out 300 hp and seems like and obvious selection for Buick, which until recently lived on V-6’s alone. The car is expected to continue as a front wheel drive model.
Overall, the car seems to be moving upmarket from the current model, which has often seemed a very warmed over Regal. A more upscale Buick in this market, at a competitive price, would be exactly the strategy which has made the Enclave a raving success.
