It’s not the best of photos, but then again, that’s how most spy photos are these days.

Nevertheless, any sign of the GT3 version of the McLaren MP4-12C->ke3514 is good enough reason for us to take whatever photo we can get of it. Technical details of the car are still closed inside the envelope, but from the looks of things, the MP4-12C GT3 prototype means some serious business.

Reports have gone around that the Woking-based supercarmaker is collaborating with British racing company CRS in the development of the supercar, which is rumored to be making its debut in a couple of years time with 2012 being the most likely date for its arrival.

You’re going to need to squint your eyes to notice it, but if you’ve got a sharp eye, you’ll see that the MP4-12C’s air intakes have been closed off. Clearly more visible though is the air duct found right smack in the center of the hood and a pretty enormous wing spoiler at the back.

We’re getting all giddy just thinking about what this prototype can do in a competitive setting, but if it can even come close to what the original McLaren F1->ke1159 racer was capable of, then the boys at McLaren->ke1159 just might have another winner on their hands.
