The 2013 Geneva Motor Show is around the corner and as early as now, you can feel the palpable excitement in the air as one of the biggest motor shows in the world is set to open its doors on March 7, 2013.

The event will last until the 17th, which gives attendees plenty of time to soak in the experience of being in the presence of some of the finest cars and concepts making their debuts on the show.

Should you decide to pay the show a visit at the Geneva Palexpo Convention Centre located next to the Geneva Cointrin International Airport, we’re here to tell you that the show will be open from 10 am to 8 pm from Monday to Friday and 9 am to 7 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

We’re not expecting everyone to be there, but fortunately, we’re going to make the trip to Geneva and will be on-hand to share everything we see, hear, touch, and maybe even get inside of.

Mercedes C63 AMG 507 Edition

- image 491329

507 horsepower is a pretty stout output to have in a Mercedes C63 AMG. That’s precisely why Mercedes is releasing a special edition model that has that much power under its hood. They’re calling it the C63 AMG 507 Edition and true to its name, it packs quite a wallop.

But more than just the impressive horsepower, the special edition C63 AMG also carries with it design elements seen on models like the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series. Put those two together and you have a model that’s definitely gonna have its share of admirers, us included.

Pagani Supercar

Pagani has been tight-lipped about the supercar they’re bringing to Geneva, opting to test our patience and deduction with mysterious videos that allude to certain clues that we haven’t figured out quite yet. Whatever the case may be, we expect this Pagani supercar to be nothing short of spectacular akin to what they’ve shown us in the past. Pagani has its stand at Hall 1, so be sure you’re there when it pulls the covers off of this new supercar.

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible

- image 494856

Here’s the thing you need to know about the Corvette Stingray: it’s so awesome we’ve considered selling our kidneys to buy one. Although we probably won’t go through with that plan - we love our kidneys too - we can’t promise the same thing when Chevrolet reveals the Corvette Stingray Convertible in Geneva.

If it looks as good as the coupe version, and we certainly believe that it will, then you can be sure that there will be a lot of people looking to restructure their finances when the Chevrolet makes the sports car available for purchase later this year. The Corvette Stingray Convertible is at the Chevy stand at Hall 1, Stand 1220.

Koenigsegg Agera S Hundra

Koenigsegg has revealed a special edition Agera S to mark the 100 Koenigsegg units built in 10 years. Completely and utterly bonkers, the Agera S Hundra will feature a carbon-fiber body combined with celebratory, artisan hand-laid and swirled 24-carat gold leaf inlays. The same treatment will also be applied to the interior. No details have been revealed on the engine, but we’re confident that the 1,030 horsepower the standard Agera S comes with won’t be enough for this special edition mad machine. The Koenigsegg stand is at Hall 1, Stand 1259.

Alfa Romeo 4C

- image 492543

Alfa Romeo’s little sports car devil has returned to back to the Geneva Motor Show as a production model and wouldn’t you know it, its looks don’t stray too far away from the 4C GTA Concept version we previously saw. The same swooping lines are there; the striking headlights weren’t changed too much. And most importantly, the production still carries the same 1.8-liter turbocharged engine that produces in excess of 200 horsepower.

Unlike the last time we saw the 4C GTA Concept, the production 4C is actually headed to U.S. soil later this year, which means that we can - finally! - get our hands on this Italian bugster of a sports car. The 4C is at the Alfa Romeo stand at Hall 5, Stand 5110.

Rolls Royce Wraith

A long time ago, the Rolls Royce Wraith was a fixture in the British luxury brand’s model lineup. But it’s been a while since we last saw the Wraith, so long, in fact that some people might not even know that such a model existed. Well, Rolls Royce has brought the Wraith back to the Geneva Motor Show.

Described as the "the most powerful and dynamic Rolls-Royce in history," the Wrait features a fastback profile, and is wider and lower than the Ghost, making it more aerodynamic and aggressive in the same time. On top of that, it comes with a ridiculous V-12 engine that produces 624 horsepower and a peak torque of 590 pound-feet. The Rolls Royce Wraith is at the Rolls Royce stand at Hall 6, Stand 6041.

Ferrari LaFerrari

2014 Ferrari LaFerrari High Resolution Exterior Wallpaper quality
- image 495454

With apologies to just about every model that’s headed to Geneva, the Ferrari LaFerrari was arguably the most hotly anticipated car to make its debut at the motor show. If you’re succeeding the iconic Ferrari Enzo, that gives you a certain amount of credibility. Add that to the 6.3-liter V-12 HY-KERS powertrain that produces a whopping 950 horsepower to go with technology derived from Formula One and you have a car that’s justified of all the hype and buzz it’s been generating. And guess what, the LaFerrari has been all that and more, making us wonder how on earth we can get our hands on one. Check out the Ferrari LaFerrari at the Ferrari stand at Hall 5, Stand 5231.

With the Lamborghini Aventador now in full production swing, the Italian automaker is taking the next step on the model lineup with the unveiling of models based on the mighty supercar. One that’s headed to Geneva is the Aventador LP720-4, a model that, as its name suggests, will pack 20 extra horsepower than the standard model of the Aventador. Lamborghini is displaying the Aventador LP720-4 at Hall 1, Stand 1044.

Lamborghini Veneno

Details have leaked regarding this celebratory car and it does not look like the GT car we were thinking it would be. According to the report, this model will feature a 6.5-liter V-12 with 740 horsepower and a 220 mph top speed. Unfortunately, the Veneno costs a massive $4.66 million and all three units that Lambo will release are sold.

Lamborghini will be at stand 1044 and its press times are from 11:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

Audi RS Q3

- image 493339

It may not have the same kind of cache as some of the sports cars and concept cars that are headed to Geneva, but rest assured, the Audi RS Q3 has its share of admirers, including us.

The model itself is distinguished by a bold and aggressive look that’s expected of Audi’s RS models. Combine that with a totally dressed up interior that prominently features diamond-quilted leather seats with contrasting white stitching and lots of aluminum insertions with a 2.5-liter inline-five engine that produces 310 horsepower and 301 pound-feet of torque and it’s easy to see why the Audi RS Q3 is well deserving of some attention at the Geneva Motor Show. Audi’s stand is at Hall 1, Stand 1060.

Fornasari’s Show of Models

Fornasari Preparing Fleet of Debuts at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show Exterior
- image 493980

Admittedly, we don’t know a whole lot about what Fornasari is preparing to bring to Geneva with the exception of the Gigi and the RR99, two strangely designed models that each carries a walloping powertrain. The Gigi, for one, comes with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that will produce more than 500 horsepower and a top speed in excess of 200 mph. Meanwhile, the RR99 boasts of a 6.0-liter V-8 engine with 610 horsepower. Those numbers are great and all, but we’re more interested in seeing these models, particularly the Gigi, in the flesh. At the very least, we know where it’ll happen as Fornasari is bringing them to Geneva where they will occupy Stand 6340 at Hall 6 during the show.

Porsche 911 GT3

Easily one of the most eagerly anticipated debuts in Geneva is the Porsche 911 GT3, the German automaker’s GT3 model of the new 911 lineup. Rumors had it that the new GT3 was going to come with a 4.0-liter engine. It turns out, Porsche retained the 3.8-liter boxer engine that delivers a total of 475 horsepower and sprints the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and up to a top speed of 195 mph. Nevermind the smaller powertrain, if a car can hit 195 mph, we’d love to take it out for a spin. The Porsche 911 GT3 is at the Porsche stand at Hall 1, Stand 1050.

Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG

- image 492694

Mercedes’ performance division, AMG, is venturing into uncommon territory when it tackles the automaker’s compact range of vehicles. Judging by their initial foray, the A45 AMG, we’d say that they’re already at home with it. Powered by a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that’s matched to an all-wheel-drive system and producing 360 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, the A45 AMG is a certified pocket rocket. Remember, that output is right in line with what the automaker was churning out from V-8 engines only a few years ago. Can you say tight?

Bentley Flying Spur

It’s been seven years since Bentley’s Continental Flying Spur range first made headway. With an upgrade seemingly due, the British luxury brand is pushing through and they’re ditching the Continental name in the process. We don’t know how much that would help in model association, but considering that the car comes packed with a 616-horsepower W-12 engine that also nets 590 pounds-feet of torque, a 0-to-60 mph time of 4.3 seconds and a top speed of about 200 mph, we’d say that the Flying Spur will do just fine. The Bentley Flying Spur is on display at Bentley’s stand at Hall 1, Stand 1261.

Volkswagen XL1

If there was any confusion on what Volkswagen was thinking with the design of the XL Concept it showed a few years ago, the German automaker is dead serious about turning the concept into a limited-run production model. The latter is scheduled to be at the Geneva Motor Show where it will showcase the car that can reportedly return 261 mpg. Imagine going from New York to Los Angeles on one tank of gas. Apparently, Volkswagen believes it has the car for the job. The Volkswagen XL1 is now front and center at VW’s stand at Hall 2, Stand 2161.

Hyundai’s Veloster sports hatch has a lot of fans in the auto world, so much so that Hyundai’s compatriot, Kia, is preparing to launch its own sporty hatch called the Pro Cee’d GT. Looking like a car that’s ready to impress, the Pro Cee’d GT comes with an aggressive look fitting of its style to go with a 1.6-liter GDI engine that will deliver a total of 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque with a 0-to-100 km/h (62 mph) time of just 7.9 seconds. The Kia Proc Cee’d GT is now on display at Kia’s stand at Hall 6, Stand 6421.

A special edition model born from the automaker’s "Q by Aston Martin" personalization program, the uniquely dressed Vanquish was finished in a striking Morning Frost metallic white exterior paint finish with a contrasting Spectral Blue interior and Pearl White welting. Even the interior comes neatly dressed to celebrate Aston Martin’s 100th anniversary, particularly the center console and its blue-tinted glass fiber and numerous "Q" logos adorned all over the cabin.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse Black Carbon

- image 495622

Regardless of what you may think of the Veyron, you have to admit that anytime Bugatti releases a new one-off model of the supercar, people stand up and take notice. Even more so if its for the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse like what the French automaker revealed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. One of these models is called Black Carbon and as you can expect, there are plenty of carbon components installed to the supercar, not to mention an interior that comes with a combination of Beluga Black and brown Gaucho leather. Saucy.

The other one-off Veyron Grand Vitesse is the Fire Finch Bronze Carbon. Unlike the Carbon Black, this one was painted in a fancy "Fire Finch" tone - a color composition called "Ying & Yang" that was used by Bugatti on a Veyron for the first time. As for the interior, the dress up constituted using Burnt Orange and Coffee, the latter of which isn’t meant to be interpreted as coffee stains.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Green Carbon

Arguably the fanciest of the Bugatti releases at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show is the Grand Sport Green Carbon. Performance credentials notwithstanding, this Veyron appeals to our senses in large part because of its green and silver two-tone color finish, which reminds us of the color of money! Add the same treatment to the interior and finish it off with a the motif of a dancing elephant - reminiscent of the Art Deco bonnet figure designed by Rembrandt Bugatti - and you have a supercar that’s just waiting for somebody to plop down money for it.

Giugiaro Parcour

A high-riding Lamborghini? Is this what the Giugiaro Parcour is? To be fair, Giugiaro is awesome, so we’re not going to question its design skills. Plus, when you have a car that’s powered by a Lamborghini-sourced 5.2-liter V-10 engine that delivers a total of 550 horsepower and sprints the car from 0 to 60 mph in just in 3.6 seconds, you really can’t say anything bad about it. Oh, and the Parcour also has four four different driving modes — Comfort, Sport, Off-road and Ice — each distinguishing itself by the a different color on the dashboard. Yep! Mood driving modes!

Wiesmann GT MF4-CS

Definitely an acquired taste, but for those who enjoy their retro sportscars, the Wiesmann GT MF4-CS has been described as a "measurable performance-oriented motorsport on the one hand and a car that can also be driven on public roads on the other hand". All well and good, and it certainly doesn’t hurt that it comes with a 4.0-liter V-8 engine that nets an impressive 420 horsepower. Get past its odd look and concentrate on those numbers and the 25-piece GT MF4-CS looks a lot better, right?

2014 KTM X-Bow GT High Resolution Exterior

Big changes for the KTM X-Bow GT, particularly the addition of a windshield and two doors. We’re not sure how much that’s going to improve comfort for the driver but then again, the X-Bow GT has always been a performance-oriented race car that puts power at a premium relative to comfort. And by the way, with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, this bad boy has loads of that power at its disposal.

However, the hybrid drivetrain that pumps out 204 horsepower from a 1.6-liter engine and a 50-horsepower electric motor. You can also run on straight electric for short distances. Unfortunately, this model is purely a concept and we don’t expect to ever see it on public roads. The Provo is at Kia’s stand at Hall 6, Stand 6421.

Sergio Pininfarina’s passing was a huge loss for the entire auto industry. But even though the man has crossed over to the other side, it doesn’t mean that his impact will be forgotten. Pininfarina, the Italian design firm he founded, is paying tribute to the man with the release of a tribute concept that in the company’s own words, will "renew the spirit of the extraordinary achievements born from Sergio Pininfarina’s pencil, translating it into a modern vision in the name of exclusivity, innovation and passion." Needless to say, the Pininfarina Sergio Concept delivers all the qualities of innovation and top-notch design that its founder will be proud of. The Sergio is prominently displayed at Pininfarina’s stand at Hall 1, Stand 1241 to see the Sergio make its world debut.

As one of the most popular models in the auto world today, the Toyota GT 86 is a bona fide stud. And what do you expect from an automaker who has a pretty cool sports coupe in its hands? Well, make a convertible out of it!

That’s exactly what Toyota prepared for the Geneva Motor Show. It’s called the GT 86 Open Top Concept and it’s been designed with a retractable soft-top while still carrying the styling cues of its coupe brother. Plus, the 2+2 seating layout and the slightly redesigned rear end are key upgrades over the coupe version. Power is expected to come from the same 197-horsepower, 2.0-liter boxer-four engine its hardtop brother already has. The GT Open Top Concept is on display at Toyota’s stand at Hall 4, Stand 4111.

We haven’t heard from Spyker for a few years now, but now that the company appears to have its house in order, it’s getting ready to return to the auto show scene with the B6 Concept. No details have been released, but Spyker is touting the concept as the "global resurgence of Spyker." Lofty words, but we’re confident that Spyker can back up the billing and give cars like the Porsche 911 and the Audi R8 something to worry about. Spyker will officially return to the auto scene on March 5, from 1:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Hall 2, Stand 2040.

Long name notwithstanding, the Jet 2+2 Concept is a sight to fall in love with. Bertone has the Jet 2+2 Concept displayed in its stand at Hall 2, Stand 2041.

Alfa Romeo has tied up with the European Design Institute (IED) to present a glorious new concept in Geneva, appropriately called "Gloria.” The new sports coupe concept is an attempt in combining sports spirit and Italian style in a sedan specially designed for the American and Asian markets. As far as styling goes, the Gloria is a definite attention grabber, particularly when it comes to the slit-like headlights, the three-dimensional hood, and the leather strips on the rearmost part of the hood. Yeah, you read that right. Leather strips on the hood.

Touring Superleggera Disco Volante

Last year at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Carrozzeria Touring unveiled a very cool interpretation of the 1952 Alfa Romeo C52 Disco Volante. A lot has changed since Carrozzeria Touring introduced the Disco Volante concept a year ago. It’s changed its name to Touring Superleggera and more importantly, it decided to build a production version of the concept, which was officially unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. We’re not quite sure what brought about the sudden change of heart, but we’re not complaining, especially since the Disco Volante’s powertrain comes powered by a 4.7-liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 450 horsepower and 347 pound-feet of torque.

This is the Spania GT Spano, formerly the GTA Spano, and it’s making a return to the Geneva Motor Show in full production guise. Unlike the Disco Volante, the Spano is a full-fledged supercar with a promised output that would rival any and all exotics roaming in the streets of the world today. Imagine sitting behind the wheel of a supercar that boasts of an 8.3-liter supercharged V-10 Bioethanol engine that produced 900 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque. That’s the Spano, baby!

More of Mansory’s proclivity to carbon fiber can be found on the Sanguis program for the Bentley Continental. We’re not quite sure why the Swiss tuner loves carbon fiber so much, but when it comes to programs like this one, we don’t mind it one bit, especially if the corresponding program bumps up the output to 672 horsepower.

It also has a carbon-fiber kit and equally important, an engine tune that takes its output all the way up to 470 horsepower.

Fascination for the number aside, Brabus’ programs have come to be known as one of the finest in the industry, and they’re latest project on the SLK65 AMG is no different. Yes, it comes with a load of new aero components. And yes, its 6-liter V-12 biturbo engine was modified to produce 800 horsepower and 1,047 pound-feet of torque with 0-to-100 km/h (62 mph) time of just 3.7 seconds, a 0-to-200 km/h (124 mph) time of 9.8 seconds, and most importantly, a top speed of 217 mph. Gemballa may be more known for their Porsche projects, but every so often, they decide to give other brands a whirl. Last year, it went and showed a GT program for the McLaren MP4-12C. This year, it’s doing the same, except that it’s for the MP4-12C Spyder. Exclusively a carbon-fiber aerodynamic package, the program comes with a bevy of significant components for the MP4-12C Spyder, as well as a new set of Gemballa’s own GForged-one wheels. For a tuning program that doesn’t have any performance mods, Gemballa’s take on the MP4-12C Spyder is about as good as it gets. Well, except for the price of the program: €47,166, which is about $62,000 based on current exchange rates.

We’re not slamming Gemballa for the lack of engine upgrades on their GT program for the McLaren supercar. After all, FAB Design’s Chimera program for the MP4-12C is in the same boat. But given a choice, this one has an edge over Gemballa’s in large part because it’s significantly cheaper (€16,900, or about $23,000 at the current exchange rates) than the amount you’re going to shell out for Gemballa’s GT program.

Mercedes SL-Class Bayard by FAB Design

Apologies to FAB Design for all the drooling; you’re Bayard program for the SL65 AMG is just too salivating for words. A remapped ECU, a sports catalytic converter, and new exhaust tailpipes. We can run down all the things we love about it, but the best part is undoubtedly the engine upgrade that saw the car’s 5.5-liter V-8 engine hit 630 horsepower at 5,800 rpm and 653 pound-feet of torque at 2,000 to 4,500 rpm after the modifications.

By the way, those numbers are good enough to give the R8 V10 a 0-to-100 km/h (62 mph) time of just 3 seconds with a top speed of 223 mph.

It might be expensive for some, but for the full breadth of upgrades you’ll get, it’s pretty worth it.

CML Royale Revox By Carlsson

While not really a supercar that warrants considerable amounts of attention, Carlsson’s Royale Revox program for the Mercedes ML-Class warrants our love. The comprehensive aero kit is nice enough on its own. But once you add the performance upgrade that drove up the SUV’s output to 625 horsepower, that’s what dreams are really made of.

Carlsson’s CK63 RSR program for the CLS-Class makes us want to buy the luxury sports car so we can have it fitted with the program. With 700 horsepower on tap - almost 200 more than the standard 518-horsepower output - you won’t find a lot of programs for the CLS (with the exception of Brabus’ Rocket program) that can match wits with this bad boy.

A shiny spectacle, this one is. Can’t say we’re the least bit surprised considering that the tuner responsible for this sparkling splendor a BMW M6 is Hamann. What we’re surprised with is that it doesn’t come with any performance enhancements, at least nothing yet. Hamann says they’re working on it so the best thing to do is wait, right?

Now this is one mean-looking program by Hamann. The BMW M5 isn’t supposed to look this pissed off but the German tuner’s "Mi5Sion" program successfully pulls it off. Can you imagine seeing this car on your rear view mirror with that look on its face? We can, and we’re already scared thinking about it.

BMW Alpina XD3 Biturbo

SUV programs aren’t all that appealing relative to its supercar variants, but somehow, Alpina manages to make it work with its XD3 Biturbo program for the BMW X3. Ultimately, any program gets some kudos from us if it comes with performance enhancements, and this one, thanks to a new optimized air intake flow, new air intake ducts with larger diameters, and modifications to the turbocharger and injection pressures, comes with a load of them.

Now this is what an Alpina program should be like. Hard to believe that this is actually a BMW 3-Series and it only took an Alpina program to turn into a pretty aggressive looking Beamer. The components are all there and they fit quite well with how the car is supposed to look like with an aftermarket kit. But the performance upgrade, which turned the output of the 3-Series’ 3.0-liter straight-six-cylinder engine to 410 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque is where the real magic happens.

Another BMW program from another BMW aftermarket expert. This one, for the 640d Gran Coupe, was done by AC Schnitzer and comes with a rather subtle yet effective new body kit to go with an impressive performance tuner that increased the output from 313 horsepower all the way up to 360 horsepower.

The more subdued of AC Schnitzer’s Geneva offerings is its program for the 3-Series Touring. Basically, it has the same components of the 640d except that it doesn’t appear to be that aesthetically effective.
