So you just slid an $80,000+ check across the desk at the Chevrolet->ke199 dealership for a brand-spankin’ new 2015 Corvette Stingray Z06. Your new baby is just that, an infant. She still has the ruber hairs on the tires, plastic on the seats, and no more than a couple miles on the clock. What do you do? Well if you’re Vengeance Racing, you burn the rear tires down to the cords before ever leaving the lot. (Wonder when that depreciation starts kicking in…)

The gratuitous burnout lasts what seems like an eternity as smoke from the 335/25ZR20-sized Michelin Pilot Super Sport 2 tires engulfs the car and the onlooking dealership staff. The aftermath is two huge black patches and matching shards of balled rubber. Perhaps it’ll serve as a Corvette->ke1280 selling point for the next six months.

Rest assured the Z06 will be taken care of. Vengeance is a full-blown race shop that specialized in GM->ke2320 vehicles, especially LS small block V-8s. We’re sure the Stingray was taken directly to the shop where Vengeance will install custom parts and accessories on it. It’s also very likely the supercharged, 6.2-liter V-8 will be making well north of its stock 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque before long. We’ll be keeping an eye out for future quarter-mile and 0-to-60 times.

Chevrolet Corvette Z06

The Corvette Stingray Z06 is not only the baddest Vette Chevrolet has ever produced, but it’s the fastest, most powerful production car to ever roll off a GM assembly line. The supercharged, 6.2-liter, LT4 small block V-8 sports 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque sent through either a seven-speed manual or an all-new, eight-speed automatic gearbox to the massive rear wheels.

The supercar lays down some impressive times. The manual-equipped car hits 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds and completes the quarter mile in 11.2 seconds. If that’s not fast enough, the automatic does the same in 2.95 seconds and 10.95 seconds, respectively. Both cars finish the quarter mile at 127 mph.

Pricing for the Z06 starts at $78,995 and goes north from there.
