The wait for the 2015 Ford Mustang is finally almost over. Okay, so the muscle car->ke507 isn't going to hit dealerships for another few months, but production is expected to begin in a few days!

Mustang6g forum member "RisingForce" posted on the site a new bulletin indicating that Ford->ke31 will commence production of the 2015 Mustang on July 14, 2014. That's this coming Monday!

Equally important is the September 9, 2014 "OKTB" date, which basically means that by then, the 2015 Mustang will "okay to buy." That now gives us a specific date to look forward to after months of waiting to see when Ford was going to release its latest pride and joy.

As for the Mustang Convertible, the reported start of production will be September 15, 2014 with an OKTB date of October 27, 2014. Those dates are a lot sooner than what we initially expected, but that's neither here nor there.

What's important are the concrete dates of production. Now that they've been announced, we can now prepare our finances in time to make a purchase of the muscle car.

Good times all around!

Why It Matters

It's fairly obvious, isn't it? Since Ford launched the 2015 Mustang in December 2013, pretty much the entire muscle car fan base all over the world has been waiting for the automaker to announce production of the newest pony car.

Now that we have a date, we at least have a better idea on how we can plan around our respective payment terms to buy the muscle car. Some people have probably saved up waiting for this day, which should make it easier for them. But for those just getting started, a concrete timetable gives them a good schedule to shoot for.

Ultimately, the most important thing is knowing that production is about to start in a few days. The wait is finally over.

Ford Mustang

You can make a case that the 2015 Ford Mustang is one of the most anticipated production cars of the year. Actually, there's no need to make a case for it because it's a fact.

That much was made evident during its debut back in December 2013 when so many people flooded Ford with questions on when the company was going to send the beautiful muscle car to dealerships.

The 2015 Mustang has a dynamic new design that successfully combines its old-school roots with a modern design twist. On top of that, the muscle car also receives a revised interior, upgraded technology and enhanced engines.

That part about the engine is incredibly important because the 2015 Mustang now features three engine options, including a more powerful, 5.0-liter V-8, a 3.7-liter V-6 and an all-new, fuel-efficient, 2.3-liter, EcoBoost engine.

The new 2.3-liter EcoBoost has an output of about 305 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the 3.7-liter V-6 has been tipped to carry at least 300 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque.

Finally, Ford hasn't disclosed the output of the 5.0-liter V-8, but we can all expect it to be more powerful than the 420-horsepower and 390-pound-feet output of the previous model.
