Until recently, Lexus has released a couple of teaser images of their upcoming RC F coupe. The company has been cleverly revealing just bits of the car as a lead up to the official reveal. Today, we bring you what could be the first leaked images of the actual car. These pictures have appeared in a Japanese magazine.

The January issue of the Japanese Best Car Magazine reveal the 2015 Lexus RC F coupe in all its glory. That said, we're are still not sure if it is a well executed digital render or a studio image of the actual car.

The front three-quarter image clearly shows a hood scoop, special F mesh grille, air ducts in the front bumper and side vents next to the front wheel arches. The headlights on the model shown here are of the HID type with two in each housing.

This is a car Lexus wants to pit against the all-new BMW M4. The sports coupe does have a tough task at hand especially since keeping it company is the biggest name in the segment. Unlike the BMW M4, the Lexus RC F could use a 5.0-liter V-8 engine with over 400 horsepower on tap.

2015 Lexus RC F

Basically, a coupe version of Lexus' high performance sports sedan- Lexus IS F, the RC F is expected to arrive in 2014, ready to take on the likes of the BMW M4 and the Audi RS5. The Japanese car maker is yet to reveal the actual car. That said, our spy photographers have been hard at work spotting test mules across the globe.

We brought you a set of spy shots of the upcoming sports coupe recently in the past. The images clearly highlighted certain exterior design elements on the car, chief among which were the quad, double-stacked exhaust tips, large, multi-spoke alloys wheels, performance brakes with slotted rotors and large brake calipers and a boot-lip spoiler.

The spy pictures also revealed the much wider stance of the RC F compared to the standard RC. Overall, the 2015 Lexus RC F seems like a well executed design package. While, the exterior has a sporty look to it, the story under the hood should be even more exciting. We can expect a naturally aspirated V-8 engine with over 460 horsepower on tap.

While, BMW has gone with a twin-turbocharged I-6 cylinder engine, Lexus might stick with a V-8 instead. The rear-wheel drive Lexus RC F could also get a sports-automatic transmission with paddle-shifts.

The interior of the car is expected to be borrowed from the Lexus RC 350 albeit with a few sporty accents. To conclude then, the 2015 Lexus RC F should get more power from its V-8 engine compared to the BMW M4. Pricing of the car, though not yet revealed, could be highly competitive. However, would you really want one over an M4?
