The Nissan GT-R NISMO burst onto the scene at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show->ke1834 and all the hype that surrounded its debut has been well and truly justified. In 2014 alone, the GT-R NISMO has been on a global rampage, dropping jaws wherever it goes. The "Time Attack" version of the GT-R NISMO even made an appearance at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, turning in a record lap time of 49.27 seconds, beating out the Noble M600 for the record. With a car that has acquired accolades despite being less than a year old, it’s no surprise that demand for the GT-R NISMO is so high.

The car retails for $151,585, which is a whopping number by any standard. But even with its huge price tag, customers are tripping over themselves for a chance to buy a GT-R NISMO. It has come to the point that if you’re looking to score one in the US, you’re in for some pretty depressing news; the 2015 model year of the GT-R NISMO is sold out. Nissan might as well put up a sign that reads “wait for next year’s model” because that’s the answer scorned customers will get should they even try to inquire about the car’s availability.

For the lucky few who did get one like NAGTROC co-founder Matt McCulloh, the GT-R NISMO is like a Christmas present that was delivered in October. You can’t blame these new owners for feeling giddy about their latest toy, but there’s also a tinge of jealousy knowing that they own a car that lapped the Nurburgring->ke999 in 7 minutes, 8.679 seconds.
