2020 Genesis GV80
and later on in 2020 for the rest of the world
Set to go on sale in Korea in Jan 2020
The GV80 represents the chance that Genesis needs to take its next step forward
The interior is layered with nice leather
And that unique two-spoke steering wheel is pretty unique
The infotainment display is nowhere near as large as the concept's, though
And the center console feels like a missed opportunity for a much-larger screen
At launch, a 3.0-liter Turbodiesel will be the primary engine choice
and it's good for 278 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque
Later on, two gasoline engines will be introduced
including a 304-horsepower four-cylinder
and a 380-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6
That V-6 is said to offer a 5.7-second sprint to 60 mph
The GV80 is predominately a RWD vehicle
but all-wheel-drive is an option
It even has an electronically controlled limited slip differential
There's no word on pricing yet
But South Korean pricing should be available shortly
We expect to hear more about the GV80 for the U.S. Market
