Aston Martin is preparing to say "Good Bye" to the V-12 engine with one last special edition Vantage. It will be called Vantage RS and should be unveiled in the first half of 2022.

A test mule confirmed once again the existence of the Vantage RS, as our spy photographers caught it out for a testing session on the public roads at the Nürburgring, while the track is closed.

The model will be limited to only 299 units.

When compared to the standard Vantage, it looks like the RS version will be wider both in the front and the back, it will get huge vents in the engine hood, air curtains in the front fascia, an aggressive rear diffuser, while the exhaust system will feature centrally mounted end pipes. A rear wing will give the car a more aggressive look.

As for the engine, rumors suggest we will get Aston Martin's 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V-12 from the DBS GT Zagato, but detuned to about 700 horsepower. The same rumors also suggest the V12 Vantage RS will be offered with a manual transmission, just like the previous V12 Vantage.

As for the price, since the current Vantage tops at about $165,000, we expect the RS version to cost about $200,000.
